A continuation of: "LA Autoshow's GM cars" thread.
The new two-seater gets more power with the debut of the Solstice GXP, which features GM’s all-new Ecotec 2.0-liter turbo, the most powerful production engine in the Ecotec family. This turbo with direct injection kicks a V-6’s worth of power out of a four-cylinder engine, an estimated 260 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. It will arrive in dealerships this summer.

260hp im happy with those #'s
now if gm puts it in the show room with those #'s , they wont be able to keep them in stock
Woot. Hopefully the turbo 2.0 will find its way in the Cobalt SS in the future
2006 Cobalt SS 2.4L 9.6 @74mph 1/8th mile w/2.28 60ft
rumor has it the turbo 2.0 will be in the awd cobalt with a possible z tag.....
the 2.0 s/c in the cobalt was on borrowed time before it was even put into production
BTW....
It will be a $4,000 to $5,000 premium over the naturally aspirated Solstice.

/\ /\ /\ hell yes!! ive wanted one since i herd about it a year ago. i wonder if this turbo system could be transplanted on the 2.2 eco?
The car should show up in the show room numbers around 250HP. There is going to be a nice price tag on it to. I own the N/A solstice right now. From what I hear on the solstice forums it is going to get jacked up $6000US. Which is pretty bad. Because the dealers right now are already selling the car for $3000-who knows what over MSRP. It is really hard to find a N/A solstice right now for msrp. So look for a jump of close to over $10000 for the turbo solstice. I would just rather keep mine and super charge the bloody thing.
my 2cents
That car is gonna be sweet.
You know what would be great also, a 2.4L eco aveo. hahaaha or the 2.0 s/c
... oh and those new saab's are going to be fun!
310 fwd hp 325 fwd tq.
OMG 2.4L Aveo
more honda killing action
if it ain't broke...MAKE IT GO FASTER

do you guys realize what you are asking ?????????????
i must say you 2 cant think straight , the solstice is REAR WHEEL DRIVE , so NO useable turbo parts for your front drives
use the saab 9-3 turbo eco parts for your cavs
oh I forgot so becuase its RWD you cant use the bigger injectors. a turbo manifold. stock sised turbo. and plenty of other perks. RWD sort of puts a few things out the door. but in no way is everything a bust.
