Of course something has to get funky with me.
It turns out they quoted for the base model bumper, instead of an LS Sport bumper, and as such the estimate was $170 cheaper than it's going to actually cost. What that means is I had to call BACK the woman who hit me and ask her for ANOTHER check. She offered to pay half of the 170, which is basically better than nothing considering I can't go after her insurance or anything now seeing as how I didn't file a police report because she wrote me a check before the time frame was up and I thought it was a done deal, and there was no need to.
Of course, I should have just gone through insurance.
Now I'm out $85 because somebody backed into me.
Although if I look at it the way my father is trying to get me to look at it, they saved me $300 on my deductible when we hit the wolf, so even if I pay $85 out of pocket, I still made out with $215 more than I would have if they just charged me the full $500 deductible.
Whatever I guess, lesson learned.
