i keep forgetting to post this question but now i rememberd to post it. my neighbor has this white 2-door chevy that has the markings "GFX" on the side doors. i remember he told me it was a limited make in its model, but i dont know if its a cavalier or something else along the chevy types of autos. anybody know what i am talking about? and what specs are on them anyways? i tried googling them, edmunds came up nothing. it seems that the car has a stock body kit for itself.

There wasn't any models of "GFX" for cavaliers, so no it's not a j-body.

only model in the retta familly : Z26, Indy, Gtu, Gtz, W26, Gt, Coupe.
Gfx usually stand for Ground Effects or body kit.

that wouldn't have Chevy badges or markings on it, it would say Pontiac.
