I don't post pics much, so I figured I should throw some up. I purchased the car new in 2006, everything done has been done by me or with the help of Members of DesertTuners.
I just want to be clear, Im not building a racecar or a show car. Just keeping my car stock(ish) looking and clean. Im not a fan of body kits (other than the Xtreme Tuner).
Almost stock engine, just has a 2.4 intake installed.

<3 this car, and that's a badass time for intake and exhaust on an automatic. gives me good hope for mine.
Nice, WAY cleaner than that egotistical kids bay.
Wow very clean. Transmission looks cleaner than it did at the plant. Just crazy.
that B&M is working beautifully

Thanks everyone =)
I have yet to run at the track with the new exhaust (its Az, can't race in 110° heat lol). Now thats its cooled down a lot, I will be at the track on the 7th. I hope to get 15.2 / 15.3 now. The old exhaust was 2.5 and was crush bent with a "red hot" resonator and a cherry bomb super turbo muffler... along with a huge dent in it from hitting a boulder in the road. This is a lot more free flowing (thanks to the 2.5 downpipe) and the but dyno says there is a lot more in the top end.
I'm still looking for a decent exhaust tip to complement the system. I don't want anything flashy or huge. I have been looking at the GMPP Cobalt Exhaust Tip Straight Cut (17802113), but I just can't justify spending $70 - $80 for an exhaust tip lol. Any input on a good looking dual wall straight cut tip? $20 seems like a good round number.

Very clean, I like that, and the valve cover and optima yellow top give it enough POP to be cool looking beyond just "clean". Props.
Car is looking great nice work...

A friend of mine did that while it was on a lift. Ive tried to wash it off, but just gave up lol.
Im not a fan of lip kits, I bottom out the front bumper enough around here... a lip would just get broke. I do want to add sunfire side skirts, just finding a decent set around here sucks.
i like it without the lips etc... it looks great.
is ur sub like that always or??? ive always had better luck with them firing straight back, but sometimes fitment doesnt allow.
love the car. clean as hell.
Underdog Racing
Still my best and most favorite valve cover that I have pianted.
Looks good like always Dan!
My sub normally is facing the back, I just had it to the side to clean up the trunk when I tool the pics.
Thanks Chris, I love the valve cover... Im surpised its lasted though all the washing and details. But I guess 10 layers of clear help
it will last forever...thats how good my paint jobs are. i am having NO issues with my flat black LSJ, and i clean it with brake clean.
how do you keep it that clean!? what products do you use??
Very Nice, Those rims would look REAL! nice on my 2003 silver Cav. Nice to know mine is esentially the same as the 2005 as I am fairly new to the Cavalier having bought it 9 months ago. Having 93k on it now, needs some cleaning, and sprucing up. I noticed you have no fog lights? That's my next facial upgrade as it's inexpensive, and will do soooo much for the front. Yours looks fantastic as is, but I would suggest a scooped hood and fogggers. lol I want to keep mine looking as clean/stock looking as I can. Like you, don't like most of the ground effects out there, they make the car look like a toy. However, the pics of certain scooped cavs on here and elsewhere have me wanting one when funds allow, and fog lights will just enhance everything. No huge scoop, just a nice stock looking type. Real nice car.

I think I answer this one at least 4 times a week lol. Here is a list of the products I have and use
Mothers polish, 3M Rubbing compound (med and fine), Claybar, carnuba wax, Simple Green. Lots of Armor all products - car wash, tire cleaner, tire shine, leather conditioner, and several other products they offer (I won tons of them a while back, and I like to use them) Pretty much if its used to clean a car and its sold in stores, I have it on the shelf.`
Tuberocity wrote:but I would suggest a scooped hood and fogggers.
Im looking into getting fog lights, but I don't want stock ones. I can't find any for a decent price that look stock but are better quality. I'll get some sooner or later.
I dislike "scoops" on hoods. Mainly because 99% of them have no function and just look bad on our cars... really bad when they look stock with no body kit. . The invader style is the only one I would ever consider, but they don't sit flush on the 03+ without a lot of extra work. If anything I would like carbon fiber, but paint matched to the car.
Thanks =)
