i desides to change things up on my car , so i started with the handels first. so i dumped the stocks for a pair of chevy Malibu door handels, so now u can look down the side and not see door handels sticking out to mess up the body line.
the old : something about the stock handel i just didnt like.
the new: i use the front drivers handel w/ the lock incase my remote ever dies
pass.side u use the rear handle to give it the shaved look, plus my pass lock was shaved already
my next task is to make the fuel door more flush so that the cars already nice shape will be even better

i still need to do the filler work, but atleast i got them in .
the coolest thing for me is that a friend that owned a street rod shop told me that he liked them. to have a street rod builder give you postive feed back is the best thing ever

yeah right now its just primed bare metal. no filler has been put on. i have a few other things i wanna do before i do the plasitc work
The only lil glitch i have right now is that the stock Cav. lock rod is too short , so i need to get one from a Malibu. and i need to trim a spot on the inside of the handel so that the latch rod dosent rub . other then that these things sit so nicely and just flow with the car so much better

the olds alero has them as well i think . maybe theres close to 10 cars that have them

x2 I remember seeing one other person with a J do this in the past, but it's been years ago and I can't remember what car his handles were from. I was looking at using handles from the newer Toyota Celicas.

its tough to find a car that flush fitting handle's these days . alota times for any ideas i go to car dealers and walk around the lot looking at certian parts that might look good. just dont tell the sales man why ur there cuz u get a very odd look
