Well going through some old crap in the garage came across this...
So a 150 shot, then boucing off the rev limiter/fuel cutoff point isn't such a good idea. I also completely split the girdle in 2, but that's long gone. Thought I'd share the stupid days lol.
In the first year of owning this car it had 3 motors in it. The original, one that had a n2o backfire and blew the top ringland off all 4 pistons and this one. Needless to say I sold the nitrous shortly after this one lol.

nitrous is actually quite safe if used right. but i think "the stupid days" covers the point you are making quite well lol. Lemme guess... 150 shot on stock internals, no fuel safety switch, window switch, or wot switch?
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

^^^ and just how is a WOT any safer then a button?
Had the electronic wot switch but no rpm window like a tard. This is called learning from your mistakes. LOL. Yep all stock motor w/ the exception of a few bolt on's, it was kinda cool it ran for about 3 block w/ NO OIL, NO COMPRESSION, AND ONLY 3 cylinders. I think that was the coolest thing of the whole situation. Best part about everything is that when you @!#$ up this bad you learn something. I never said nitrous wasn't safe, it's actually in the future for the car again, only this time there will be safeties everywhere. RPM switch and all.
And Brad I think he's referring to just have a power swicth that once activated, just opens the solenoids up. It was fun for a min but the r's just wrapped too fast and I was a newb w/ the ecotec at the time. This happened in the summer of 04 and I had bought the car in the winter of 03...not too many people knew anything about the eco at the time.

Why would you even attempt a 150 shot on a stock motor?
I guess you live and you learn.

I was expecting pics of a clean engine bay. But its still cool to see a custom 3 cylinder motor.

Cuz 50 and 75 got boring, hell why do I do most things I do...sheer boredom. Let's retrace just this year alone, rebuilt motor, 9psi too slow, 11 psi still too slow, 13psi, same result, 15psi, we're getting there, 17psi...sh!t outta fuel gotta get a fuel pump, damn back to 15psi, I get bored easily, it's coming time that I get a v-8, preferrable a ss or ws6, either or doesn't matter to me, long as I get an ls1.

Why would anyone go through all the work to swap a eco in, with mods, to run slower times then a bone stock Z?
150 shot with the right fuel, and timing, would have been quick, thats why.

I'm bored already lol

skunk, love you and your car so dont get mad at the thread jack lol..
and z yaa, not trying to be snappy or mean here, but "pushing a button" to activate your nitrous, no matter how slick you think you are, isn't the most consistent, best, or safest way. period. never will be. its actually pretty dumb and "f&f" to be honest... a good n2o setup would be to have all the safety and activation accessories... WOT switch(not spraying unless you are going balls to the wall and want it to), fuel cut off safety switch(cuts the n2o if fuel drops below a safe level for the spray), window switch because honestly, you dont need or want to be spraying too high or low in the rpm range or boom... people with "omg da cool button yo!" are the ones who blow their motors with nitrous and end up blaming nitrous as a whole for being unsafe because they didnt see the point in spending the extra few bucks on those safety units in their purchase.

Ok, don't act like you know what you are talking about you ass hole because you don't. The times in my profile are on a stock engine with only mounts. I hate to break it to you but a automatic eco and automatic 2.4 are just about the same times. I did the eco swap because I had the 2.2 that went out and I wanted a RELIABLE motor for my daily driver that will last me years without hassle and trust me the 2.4 is not going to give me that. Either way it's my decision to be made what I do with my car not yours so I don't know where you get off on questioning my motor choice. Lastly, who the @!#$ are you to call me out? I never said anything to you EVER before nor did I say anything negative in this thread. I really think you need to go find something to do instead of picking useless fights with strangers online for no good reason you sad sack of @!#$.
