i always wanted to paint my lame set so today i had a day off so i began experimenting with one wheel to see how it would come out. Well i am very happy with the outcome. So i am off to do the rest of the wheels now, once i get them all on i will show some pics on car.
**********SORRY ABOUT BAD QUALITY CAMERA PHONE SUCKS***
Danger of Fume pulled out useful feature for gas mask!
Pretty happy with outcome sure they will look 1000+ better on the car
1. I Used the Super-Fine Wheel Steel Brush on the entire WHEEL all of it, Its SOO fine that i didnt have to sand it down afterward actaully gave it a better look.
2. Then using Mineral Cleaner i whipped everything down and left it dry
3. Then applyed Grey Primer 4 Coats
4. Then applyed Flat black 3 Coats
Looks good, but I really like the Konig Holes that you have in your sig. Still got those?

Trying to decide between white or red lip now

Then it's fine I guess.
uhmm... ?? the wheel was painted on both sides... it looks quality up close, and i taped down around the wheel to ensure no paint gets on it... so whats your point?
I like it man, looks pretty good and cheap

what he ment was when you get new tires or those rebalanced you'll have a spot where there is no paint. lol
Result - will paint lip when i do brakes that way they will match caliper red.
Nice Ben! I like it!

Why would you run your good rims in the winter?

x2
should of took the wheel weight of and just had them re balanced when done
I think it looks very good. As far as the whole "spot" goes, it is flat paint so he can touch it up and nobody will be able to see a difference or be able to tell a difference. Flat paint FTW!!

Me the only one knowing whats he's talking about FTL ^^^
Nice job ben, looks good. Makes me wanna post some pics of my rim repaint. These are rims I got for my toyota pickup from my neighbor and I just did a rattle can job on them, and painted the lettering. They aren't perfect, but they look a hell of a lot better than they did. Considering the truck was pretty much just a beater it really didn't matter. Now my buddy is gonna put them on his 79' Cherokee Chief, I think they'll look mean on it.
