Wellll, that's not technically the 'only way' to fit wide wheels. One could mini-tub the back rather than widen the body - although I don't know how it would look. Somebody outta chop some of these 8.5"+ wheels onto a stock-width J to see what they would look like in terms of side view and rear view, maybe a 3/4 too...

Why the F&CK did I buy a POS new 07 Hyundai Elantra?!
I shoulda kept the 02 Ranger 4x4 - comfort is better than MPG's
Yup, I was gonna use Jeffs car as an example. Alot of work went into making 22s fit on that car.
search in the wheel and tire forum for rob s. he has a yellow 03-05 cavalier that has 8.5" wide rims on it
Correction Justin...19x8 and 20x10 on my car
You can fit whatever your heart desires, however the bigger and wider you go, you WILL need to do body modifications to make them fit.
Jeff (bagedfire) put in 22's in the rear. He did a crazy amount of work to the wheel wells and to the axle itself to make them fit right.
Jeff...so much work to get the rims to fit nicely....my god I love it!
that shows dedication and attention to detail.

Just curious... what offset and tire size are you running?
