Picking the car up today!!!

So the car is painted!!!

Picking it up tonight and will then have to get the engine running and finish the interior work. If the car gods allow it I could be driving this bitch next spring!!!

Well... It's finally home... GOD what a FKN ordeal this has all been... and it's far from over...

Here's some pics of the car when I picked it up last night.

Body looks straight clean, looks really good. What are you gonna do with interior? all custom? also what wheels u going with?

It looks better in pics than in person unfortunately. Just something else I'll have to fix...

Dash/console are Alero/Cavalier hybrids. doors and panels all custom.

So here's the pics of some of the issues (click for larger):

Car's a mess and not fixed or painted inside

They broke my cowl AND didn't paint it

Brand new roof has been pulled out of place

Gas cap not painted or attached

@!#$ty masking residue

Painted on some sort of foam crap in trunk

Paint peeling already inside hood

Hood Spring not prepped, just painted, already peeling

Piece of tape or paper painted into hood

More masking crap

Bad paint coverage

Tough to see in pic, but the edge that should be here is filled with paint in place

hood and fender were painted together

Broke the tail light post

Tore my brand new roof

Brand new roof pulled out of position

Brand new roof all fukd up

Didn't fix or prep or paint inside of windshield beam

didn't fix any rust on inside of doors and didn't protect any of the bare metal in their welds

primer showing through paint on passenger side


Overall: The paint is FULL of orange peel, so the whole car needs to be cut and buffed. The engine isn't running. The door poppers aren't installed. The side markers weren't installed. The trunk lock wasn't shaved.

All in all I'm pissed. And to top it off, they're asking for the last $800 for the job, which I wasn't supposed to pay until they got the engine running... It'll cost more to fix what they fkd up...

i woudlnt pay them they need to get u a new roof they @!#$ it up not u and every other thing they broke on ur car when they had it.....

I don't intend to pay anything more unless they'll fix the roof (which can't be fixed, it'll have to be replaced.)

any new updates?

Updates will be slow for a bit. I have to rebuild a 96Z for my winter beater first. Once that's done, I'll get back on the vert.
