I know that I haven't posted much of what I've been doing with the car lately.... because I've been busy making it happen!!! But here you go, your first real look at "Christine", my 2000 Cavaliver Z24 convertible...
Some of the "parts":
Gravana Tuning GMX body kit w/ CF lip (replica of TRD Toyota Cavalier body kit)
Steel Z3 fenders (Ebay)
RK Sport Extractor hood
Black projector headlights w/ HIDs
Black corner lights
Celica clear bumper lights
Toyota Cavalier taillights
Wings West Commando spoiler
Harada power antenna
Enkei RS-5 wheels, powdercoated graphite
Alero IRS swap w/ disc brakes
Twin Ractive brake chrome oval exhaust tips
The paint was done by Maaco, of all places... it's a base/clear of Sherwin Williams W547 "Porsche Red", which goes orange in the sun... Maaco did a really good job for the price ($1300).. mind you, I dropped the car off stripped to the chassis, with all the pieces to be painted separately.. so they couldn't really mess anything up.
I <3 this car.. sometimes.. Note the black frame around the windshield.... with the new black roof (not yet installed) and 5% tinted windows... the car will have a pseudo-two-tone look to it when the top is up.
Rear side shot, you can see the dual-tip exhaust. There's a Flowmaster 80 series cross-flow mounted under the spare tire well.
Back shot.... not a very good pic, the lighting went funny and the paint looks off, but it's not like that in person. You can see the muffler and trailer hitch (the hitch is for my next project... you'll have to wait and see!)
Sitting in my driveway...
I even put mesh behind the Z3 fender slots.... though now I'm contemplating black mesh all over the car...
My Toyota Cavalier folding mirrors
The gratuitious overhead shot. I fell off the wall after taking this.
Closer interior shot. Yes, it's a 03-05 Sunfire swap. The seat covers are leather, from Classic Soft Trim in Seattle... I picked it up and installed it. The driver's seat has the adjustable lumbar support as well.
I'm not 100% on this spoiler... it's big and heavy... the trunk lid doesn't stay up anymore.... but it's certainly not stock... and the centre piece blocks the headlights from cars behind me in the rearview, so it's somewhat useful. I'd rather have my old BFZ spoiler... but Craig @ Krazy Kustomz bent me over on that one
The IRS and muffler from below... yes, it's dirty.
Oh, and because someone was asking.... here's the control arm from the front. It's parallel to the ground with the Eibach pro-kit springs.
As for future mods... not much left on the exterior.... I need to swap the gas lid for the Toyota Cavalier one I have sitting here... Need the release handle tho. I also have Toyota Cavalier side markers to add... plus the badges I have sitting on my desk (there's a thread in Exterior about that).
Guess I'm gonna need a new sig now...
...j
PS. Her name is Christine, after the 1958 Plymouth Fury in the movie "Christine" based on the book by Stephen King.... because just like the Fury... this car is possessed some days...
i love it you crazy man you

how did you get all of your interior black? like the dash, steering wheel...
i've been thinking about doing this myself!! looks hot!! more motivation!!
CAR LOOKS AWESOME LENKO!!! i personally think that a self mural of you with your infamous hats on the hood would REALLY put it over the top!!! something similar to Steveo's Tattoo of himself on his back...
only of you, with your hat, on your hood!! HILARIOUS!! would you like a donated hood? lol
Wow, everything looks great! The TRD sides look so much better with the side moldings removed. I would definitely change the Z3 mesh to black like you said though.
That is the EXACT interior that I want to swap into my '99 Z. I've been searching around all the local yards, but I can't seem to find any '03-'05 Sunfire complete black interiors. Did you get that one locally? Any ideas on where to find another one?

$50 a wheel... but I had to have the tires dismounted, the rattle-can paint I'd put on them sandblasted off.. then the powdercoating... then the tires re-mounted and balanced... so in the end, it cost quite a bit.

SEM Color Coat paint... Satin Black.... on the dash, wheel, trim... etc... the black carpet is from Ebay. The seat covers are from www.classicsofttrim.com and they fit over the stock seats.

Yup, I traded my stock 99 Cavalier interior (from the white 'vert) with a guy here who has a 04 Sunfire. He liked the Cavalier interior better, and I liked the Sunfire better. The wrecking yards here have TONS of Sunfires though.... but they all want too much $$$ for a full interior.
car looks sweet
i would keep the wing, it seems to go well
how much did the covers cost
my seats are beat and need new covers
Loving it. I need more time to get mine done. Parts sitting all over the place waiting to be put in and whatnot.
Very Nice... I love the TRD kit but yours is original...
looks hot man, i think some toyota fenders would have looked better on it tho...
it makes me say ohh yeah!
the rear is the best...kinda reminds me of my old car...tear
the whole thing is hot tho, especially in the sun...haha get it...um yeah.
