that thing has to stop on a dime
Awesome!! My next mod for sure!!
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
makes the wheels look better too
I think so. looks a lot better than the tiny stock front discs. the back however... looks horrible with the tiny drums. I haven't painted them yet, hopefully tomorrow I'll get around to that.
I will be doing the Neon rear conversion. I've found some decent sized discs for the rear. they aren't as big as the Wilwood's, but should still look pretty decent. my plan is to rebuild the calipers. after I disassemble them, they'll be sent out to an anodizer so they'll hopefully come close to matching the Wilwood look.
thanks for the compliments. this is proving to be a really slow process with the lack of funding and problems with the car that I've been having lately. I'll get there eventually! I'm almost looking forward to next year's tax season. LOL

Blew it up, build numbers coming soon
once I get the car washed up and the drums painted, I'll post some pics of the whole car.
thanks again for the compliments.

that look really good. i need to invest in some brakes because my stock brakes aint cutting it. rims look really good aswell. any reviews you can give on these brakes?
pedal feel is improved due to the stainless lines that are used with them. if you look just above the "Wil" on the caliper, you'll see the end of a clip. you pull that clip out, and the pads slide right out. you don't have to undo the bolts and slide the caliper off the rotor. stopping power is good, but I think overall braking performance is hindered by the tiny rear drums.
I wanted red calipers to match the car, but Wilwood anodizes these, and it would be too much of a PITA to get them painted, and still keep the "Wilwood" and "4-Piston" logo unpainted. that was really my only initial gripe about them, but I think they still compliment the car/rims and tires being black.

Looks exactly like Ian Lacey's set up.
Portage, MI
similar. Ian has the Baer's IIRC. he also has 18" rims, I have 17". I didn't notice I got the same rims as him until a few days later. I tried to be different, but you can't go wrong trying to copy Ian's car.

wow that is sexy, i have the powerslots, and although they help over stock, it still seems way too small like you said. those seem to just be an all around better purchase! maybe after i get my new rims on. whats the tag on that kit new?
around $1100 to $1200. Gravana would be the best place to get them.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo! 4 years of having wheels nobody else had gone up in smoke! And a red car none the less

well Ian, since you're retiring the car, someone's gotta pick up where you left off...
btw, how are those anodized lug nuts? I'm still unsure if I want to change colors.
