Hey people, i havn't been on here in forever. Just thought i'd post some pictures of Satine. My hubby gave her lots of attention yesterday while i was at work. He did a full detail on the outside (wash, claybar, wash, cleaner wax, polish, wash, then final wax) OMG she's so shiny.
He also put an intake on her, even though she's not fast. The funny thing is that the intake was left over from a 2000 Integra GS-R and it fit (almost, needed a little extender)...he just had to drill a hole for the air sensor. He thought that was pretty funny.
Now the mod list has 1 more:
1.5" drop with Maxspeed springs
15" Voxx MG's
GS-R SRI
Thanks for moving to the right area.
Wouldn't use those springs.
why's that? They ride fine and look great.
For one, I've never heard of them. And for two, I just found them for 129 bucks.
And third, none of the aftermarket retailers for Cav's sell them.
looks good.....your husband must be a patient man to do all that detail work!
Take out the rest of your airbox.

Those are dumb reasons not to buy them...I paid $1,300 for the car and put wheels on it, it NEEDED to be dropped...it has 115hp and i drive it about 3miles a day to and from work, i'm not going to buy expencive stuff for it.
My husband knows a lot of people with Maxspeed springs and coilovers on their cars and there is nothing wrong with them....they are not top of he line, but they are perfect for a daily driver that you want to clean up and not lose ride quality.
oh and just to let you know, i paid $105 shipped for them

from being on this site a while, one thing i heard over and over again in the suspension and brake forum is that you get what you pay for. i never heard of maxspeed either, and i wouldnt buy them for 129 dollars. you shouldnt skimp out on your suspension even if you drive 3 miles to work. eibach makes good stuff for decent prices, might want to check them out. as long as you like them thats what matters though
ok just listen
out of the thousands of people registered to this site, that know and have bought EVERYTHING possible to buy for a cavalier and put it on their cars, there is a meer 4 people with maxspeed lowering springs
4 out of 20000 +
doesnt that tell you something?
best of luck with the springs though, i hope they work out for you, and the car would look great minus the bud flaps, and with the addition of larger wheels, but she is very shiny
let the woman do what she wants! If she doesn't like them, she can take them out. The we deal with is how it looks, and im sure it'll look sweet. let her deal with the ride quality.
I say put them on, and enjoy.

Put them on and enjoy?!
It's about safety. Sure, it's cheap and they lower the car. But when paired with stock struts and a spring rate that is probably out the ass; that is some dangerous shiat.
Suspension isn't cheap, most people (like me) don't/didn't buy a suspension for looks. But I won't go on a rant. Have fun and let's not hope you're riding on blown struts.
I have the maxspeeds with AGX's. They've been on since last october and there is nothing wrong with them so far, and my husband has taken her to the track once for an auto-x. My husband is a Honda/Acura guy and does all kinds of things to his car, he even builds motors, and he's not some @!#$ty DIY random idiot you usually see working on honda's, he knows what he's doing and has schooling under his belt. My point is that Maxspeeds are proven in his world....people at the local track even use their coilovers for weekend use (auto-X), they are way more commonly seen with other cars. My husband wouldn't put something in my car he didn't trust.
I didn't realize people would be so critcal of my car, all i wanted was to show off how clean it was....gosh
Here is my husband's daily driver Integra, it ran a 13.8 quarter with an all-motor 1.9 he built himself. if anyone wants to know what he did to it, ask and i'll have him type it out.
Oh and my husband wants to swap an ecotec into it and mybe do his first turbo build, but he's having a hard time finding a resonably priced motor around here.

get used to it, everyone on here is a critic.
nice integra, my beater is just like that, but blue. wish it looked as nice as his.
Maxspeed makes some decent products. Just because the guy above has never heard of them doesnt make them crap, LOL. My friend has a 240 with the maxspeed springs and muffler. I also had Maxspeed stuff on my old cavalier.
Whats a Cavalier?
Do you eat SPAM? Are you catching my drift?
