Hello. I am thinking about getting some shift boots and e-brake boots made from carbon fiber material. Just wondering what the interest would be for a group purchase. It would probably be $15-$20 a piece for them. Let me know and if there is enough interest I'll get the ball rolling. Thanks.

Here is what they look like for a Firebird. It would be the same thing, but just modeled off a Cavalier stock shift boot and E-brake boot.

Patrick Myers: You should be able to use it on an auto. The hole for an auto and a manual are the same size, you might need to get the manual boot mounting hardware though.

I still need to get pictures of the silver and yellow ones yet too.

well how does it mount up? would it be hard to modify my console to make it fit?

I looked at the 2 consoles I have in the garage right now and the hole in the manual one is just a little bigger than the auto one. Then you would just have to buy the plastic retaining ring that comes factory or just find a different way to mount the boot. But nothing major would need to be done. Make it about 1.5in longer.

This post was just to gauge interest in these. I have to send in the factory boots and get them made and then work out a pricing deal. I want to get a set back for myself to make sure the quality is A+ before I sell them. Don't want a bad name for selling something I didn't know 1st hand the quality of. But I am definitely going to get the boots in the mail this week and hopefully I can get the pricing soon and set up the group purchase.
