where would I go to find an airbag simulator for my cavi? I read a thread in here that you need one in order for your pass. airbag to work once you pull the steering wheel to swap out for a new wheel. just curious. I know some people just use black electrical tape to block out the airbag light and ignore it that way. but just curious about the other method.
from what ive heard you jest solder a 2.2kohm resistor in there and your good, ...however, im not exactly sure how, or the value of the resistor, so ure best bet would be to search airbag resistor or something along those lines
Shoulda searched but i'll be nice.

There was a post talking about what is needed but talk to the poster and he'll be able to help ya out.

-this post might come up twice, idk
I believe it's a 2.2 ohm, not a 2.2K ohm... big difference
I ordered a kit specifically from a company claiming to be a simulator for airbags - I won't post the link until I receive the item and can, in fact, very that I didn't just pay thirty-some dollars for a ten cent resistor (and yes, the theory behind the resistor is sound, however, try ever explaining that one to the insurance company if ever the remaining airbag failed to deploy - irrelevent if the resistor was the culprit or not).

2002 Sunfire -->
- Ractive steering wheel
- ASA 17" EM9 + Nexen N5000 215/45/17 (steelies for winter)
- D-Spec Lowering kit @ 1.4" (issues currently
)
- Rockford P250.1 + MTX MZS1004 + Panasonic CQ-C8313U head unit
- Barely legal tint.
Just another option, not that resistors are expensive or anything. I took the cluster out and unsoldered the bulb out. no airbag light, and it seemed better then black tape.
