I'm getting ready to install the solenoids for my door popper kit, but have no idea where to start.
I have no idea where to mount the solenoids. How to attach it to the latching system. Etc.
I will figure it out if nobody has advice but could use some starting help, anything makes it easier!
I'm looking for pictures, intructions, how you did it's... etc. Any help is appreciated prior to me ripping into it.
it only takes one post, trust me.

remove the rods from the door ( the one that goes from the lock to the door latch and the theres another one from the outside handle to the door latch)
you only leave the rod that's attatced to the inside door handle.
unscrew the guide for the window.
line up your solenoid I lined it up on the outside of the door on the inside of the car just to get a good look at where to drill the holes to mount it ( make sure its not too close to the edges so that it will fit in nice.)
If you have spal you can just screw your solenoid in and mount it. (reason being it has a power and ground wire that run off of the solenoid)
If you bought autoloc I will laugh at you right now
I made that same mistake my advice is sent it back and get spal
moving on
the latch for the actual door has a rod on it that is closer to the outside of the door ( this is the loop you need to put the aircraft cable through because the solenoid pulls this lever down when activated to open the door.
there is also a little clip that you need to tie down with either a zip tie(thats the cheap way) what I used was some tough wire.
then run the aircraft cable through that loop I was talking about and through the hole on your solenoid. Give it enough slack so that it lets the latch go back up when the door is closed but tight enough that when activated it pops the door open.
thats the basics of it. I had a write up I followed I will see if I can find it for you. Any onther questions just shoot me an email.
lol lets post in every forum and maybe people will answer me

heres a link i used when i did mine, its from Kavky's cardomain page

why do you have to disable the locks? i understand that you would if you don't have power locks and i understand that they would basically be useless since it's kind of hard to open a handless door anyway, but if you have power locks couldn't you leave them hooked up for a little extra security?
i was thinking the same thing while doing the install. Disabling the lock if you don't have power locks is the only reason i can see.
anyway, thanks for the link to that install, made life easy. Install is near complete.
