sup everyone... heres the deal tweed or fiberglass, i want to keep w the black theme, cars painted custom black w blue metal flake, and black wheels and as of now the interior is painted black and silver. But im ripping out and building a new center consol that will go from the front to the back inbetween two bucket seats. So i figured id redo the whole interior.... black tweed w/ dark blue stitching and outlay since the president of our club uncle does this @!#$... what u think tweed in the cavi since hardly anyone has it or go w fiberglass like everyone else?
I would do tweed accents, but I wouldn't want my whole car tweed. My interior was black and white, the back being tweed. I had my dash and rear deck in tweed, along with my door inserts and my seats. The seats were tweed and white vinyl to mix it up a bit, they turned out really nice. I got pictures of the interior but nothing you can tell that tweed was used. All tweed interior reminds me of an old school S10 truck or something. Fiberglass would be more work but give it a smoother and probably more "classy" image if done right.
thats one of the reasons i was thinking almost all tweed because you dont see many cars like that normaly mini's which would make it stand out a lil.... well see tho thanks for the comment
I've seen some all tweed compacts, and honestly it doesn't look right. I would go with the above advice and just do accents. That would look really clean and still different then most.
some cars end up looking really nice with it. a buddy of mine did his interior in gray tweed, and it turned out surprisingly good.
tweed was big in the late 80's and 90's fiberglassing has been big from the 90's till now. both have been overdone and its time for a change.
in your case you can do the tweed easily how about fiberglassing, that will take a tone more work and money if you really want it to come out looking nice i'd suggest hitting up some stores and just looking around and trying to come up with something more original that no one has. not the easiest thing to do but would make you stand out allot more.

ill be rocking a lot of tweed my self, when i get to redoing mine.
Tweed with billet accents.
does anyone know how to apply tweed to the dash, pillars, glove box, etc. like samantha did to her cavi?
