Hey,
So i was in my local junkyard today and they have a new wrecked cougar so i went over and took a look. Other than a metallica cd i found, i also noticed the rear seats looked like they might fit in my sunfire. Is there anybody that has done this or thought about it. Any comments or ideas regarding it would be helpful. Here is one pic but i will post more when i can find my camera cable
Thanx

i would say go take some measurements and whatnot. would probly have to change the latches and whatnot to hold the back of the seat up but those would look awesome if ya did it
I took measurements and the measurements look like it would be able to fit. The hardest part is going to be doing the latches cause on the cougar its a hatchback, so they seats are latched on the sides of the car instead of the middle like mine. Also, the bottom has this wierd clip thing on the side and not in the middle so im thinking of changing the seat to hold the stock clipy things.
try it out
if it works you may just start something
that looks damn good
i like those but try to see if they will fold down or do sunfire back seats fold down?
The brackets for folding down seats will have to be changed to fit. J-Bodies are 60/40, while those look 50/50.
Although that looks pretty cool, I carry 5 people in my car too often to go for it. : (

Splat! Its like the tree was like "oh @!#$ you sunfire"
I know this is pretty old, but I was just wonderin if anyone has actually tried this. If so, could you post some pics...
I went and found that they had cut the quarter panel out of the car but they did manage to not screw up the seats. I took them out to my car to see if it would work but the hump in the middle of my backseat was too high. If I knew how to weld i could modify the seat and have it work. I thought about it a second ago and i do know someone who can weld so if i have some more time and money sometime, I will go try it again.

What about the seats from a Cutlass Supreme coupe? I remember a freind in high school had one and the rear seats were buckets with a console.

^^^ IDK - i think they might be too old for it to be worth the effort.

try srt4 seats, bmw 3 series miata seats or even solstice seats
when it comes to boobs i need a girl with bad grades cause im tired of all the ones walking around with straight a's
If your looking for a set of factory seats from another car I would join a forum for that car. Thats what i did and i scored the front and rear seats out of a 02 WRX that were mint for 200 cash and i picked them up locally. Now i havn't installed them yet but i went to put the rears in before winter and the back rest is 3 inches to wide but the base sat flush with the floor after some modifications. Just something to think about.
