Some people like the look of stock seats from other cars, gives it a "could have been factory" look.
Best I can say is to try it out, if it doesn't, you always got your stock seats right?

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
Let me know how it works out for you and if you can snap a load of pic's while you're doing it. I'd be interested in doing this to my car also depending how it looks finished. And for the record I'm one of the guys who MUCH prefer the look of stock seats over any of those racing seats.
I feel ya, I prefer the "could've been stock" look. I got rid of my racing seats a few months ago, for a set of stock MX-3 seats. Really the best you can do is try, I can tell you that camaro/firebird seats line up perfectly with our sliders, and in a lot of cases GM likes to keep things interchangable, besides, like Shifted said you've always got your stock seats to fall back on.

you should get rid of that giat birds nest on your truck to keep it more stock
so camaro/firebird seats are a direct bolt-in/swap for our cars (I got an 02 cav )? no modifications necessary?
first it's not for my car i have racing seats
and the seat comes with no sliders so i have to use the cavy sliders in my buddy car
plus the seat belt is attached to the stock seat!!!!
Thats right, no mods necessary. I ran high back buckets out of a '97 camaro for a short time. just use cavy sliders, cause the f-body ones sit really low.
So what's involved in swapping the F body seats to the J body sliders. Just bolts, or is there some welding that needs to be done. My buddy has leather seats from his 98 T/A in his garage cause he bought Recaro's, and I could get them on the house.
Gotta keep on livin', L-I-V-I-N
i'm going to get some gtz's for my second gen and redo them in black velvet
oh ya!
"I live my life a quarter mile at a time..." "for those ten seconds or less I'm free"
...now this f-body swap...is that just 4th gen f-bodies or 3rd also?
96 cavi'/WI j's
3rd and 4th gen f-body seats have exactly the same bolt pattern for the sliders, The only diferance is that the sliders are a little more upscale.
Sunstealth,
did i miss it or whatever happened with the grand am seats? they fit in or u have to custom fit them?
so will the fbody sliders work? lower is better when your 6'3" Id really like to go back to a stock looking seat
yeah they were a nearly perfect fir but my friend decided against them in his light gray interior
