I am very curious to know who all has a built motor. Eco 2200 2.4 3.1 etc... Does not matter. I know of a few but I am guessing there are alot more out there that people dont know about. Reason for me asking is because I want to know how your setup is working for you. If you are happy with the bore size and compression ratios you have chosen. This will give people an idea of what is optimal for each application for big boost or moderate boost situations.
List motor / comp ratio / bore / application example: Turbo , Supercharged, N2o

Tony from CNFX has a fully built 2.4 with an NVG tranny swap
LE61T PTE6262 Powered
mine isn't exactly done yet but i'll give you a preview
2002 2.2 OHV "2200"
8.87:1 compression ratio (forged pistons, cometic HG, polished combustion chambers, little things here and there always @!#$ with the compression ratio
stock bore, ARP everything, full roller valvetrain, custom hydraulic roller cam, 7500 RPM shiftpoint
Garrett T3/T4 .60 / .63 57 trim wheel... peak boost on full tune on 104 race fuel? 20 psi
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
i got a eco with 8.9:1 wiseco pistons and eagle h-beam rods on a stock bore block. The head has minor work done but just to make it stronger, nothing to increase power. I ran this with the charge pipe unhooked once and it actually didnt loose much all motor power. Other than that, it runs perfect.
I do and I am very happy with the car. I will be more happy, though, when I get her all tuned.
2.4
.040"+ overbore - 9.5:1 compression pistons
Cometic .074" MLS Gasket
Head shaved .010"
Compression ratio = 9.3:1 or so
Soon to be Turbo once again.
It's not done yet, but should be soon.

I built Blackz2401's 2.4.
Eagle rods, weisco .020/ 9:1/ pistons, stock crank, Arp main studs and GM charged with 10lbs (soon to be upgraded
)
2002 Z28: Slp coldair Pac, Corsa Catback, 3200 stall
I have forged pistons, crank and rods.
If you are making a list, here is a start:
1.) Minion - 2.0 sohc (8:1 compression, 0.010" over, 20psi turbo/50hp nitrous)
2.) Skillz - 2.4 twin cam
3.) CNFX - 2.4 twin cam
4.) Blackz2401 - 2.4 twin cam
5.) JustinsEco - Ecotec
6.) Gary - 2.4 twin cam
7.) Spotabee - 2.2 OHV
8.) Adler - 2.2 OHV
I can think of more but I can't remember what engines they have.

i am in the process of building now with:
2.2 auto
8.5:1 compression ratio
wiesco pistons
eagal h rods
fed pro gasket kit top and bottom
federal mogul rod and main bearings
soon to come:
T3/T4 60 trim turbo set up
port match head work
rollers
stronger valve set up
no rebuilt Eco's???
I think I am going to be one of the only poeple goin with higher compression from what I see on this post.
I am going with like 10.5:1 with a mildly ported head and forged internals. Once I get it finished and dropped in, I will let you know how it runs.
