Sorry for the post all over again, but 12.60's are sooooo yesterday. lol JK
There you go Ryan, you happy now??

Bill can vouch for these passes.
Unfortunatelly I got eliminated in Semis, by a Suzuki Samurai, on slicks dialed in 13.30, sand bagging like a bitch.
It was easy a mid 12 second ride. All gutted, open on a rail.
That is the guy that won too, oh well.

I put in a few passes today and a lot of them were back ups to previous times.

I ran a 12.97 in the bracket with a 2.0 60 foot, bogged bad.
Then a ran a

1.86
5.280
8.086
86.50 mph
10.541
12.666
99.54 mph

The reason I ran such low mph was because I short shifted 3rd at 6000 RPM and nailed brakes in 4th toward the end so that I wouldn't break out.
I still broke out cause I dialed in 12.70, but the other guy jumped the light so I won.

This pass I have on the VIDEO, and you can see me hitting the brakes at the end. lol
I will host it as soon as my boy computer guy does it cause I have no clue on how to get it on the comp let alone host it.

The best pass was as follow.
RT--------.033
60foot----1.767
330-------5.233
1/8--------8.054
------------86.45 mph
1000------10.521
1/4---------12.588
-------------108.68 mph

The track temps were in 95F still, and you guys just wait till the weather drops.
I talked to Bill and Nelson Hoyos in the tower about my car and Nelson liked it and gave props and so did Bill (awsome bunch of guys), and that is what makes me work just that much harder.

Thanks for all the props guys, and I have 3 things in works as I am typing I am thinking.
In a couple of months I WILL RUN AT LEAST 12.30'S NOT due to weather and then we will see how much THAT helps as well.

P.S I am NOT touching the boost neither.
**Jeremy thanks there goes the top pff.
**John you are the king of bracket I should have brought you.
**Phil keep on fighting a good fight. On street tires mid next season I WILL be running Power Street(BFG's Drag tires they are allowed)
Those cars are low 11's so guess what MY plans are.
**Ryan , now it is your turn.
Everybody else stay tuned.

Well I cleaned up my act a little since the last time which was also my 1st time I ever ran on the slicks and now I am getting it down better than before as you all can see.

The 1st time I was out which was a local event called a Club 1320, they use NO water in the burn out box because most of the cars are on the street tires and since they don't wanna go through the water they cause a delay and stuff so they quit doing it.
I had to dry spin them which was really hard because as soon as they start heating up they WILL drag your back wheel with even tho your e brake is pulled.
I was cutting steady 1.90 60 foots.

Today and yesterday, they had water since it is a NDRA event and you hook the rear tires to that little hump right before the water box drop and pull the e brake.
Do your business, smoke them for little and stage up.
I was dropping the clutch at 4500 RPM with a DEAD HOOK and sometimes even boggin me off the line.

Today with help of Karo and Bill Jr. I tried a little slip action and it worked a lot better after I learned how to heat them up better too.
I rev it to about 5000 RPM and slip it very fast, almost drop it but not quiet and sometimes it will bog a little and most of the time it will HOOK and when it does get read to shift to 2nd in probably .5 of a second and in 3rd about 2 seconds.
It is truly insane.
The problem with the Turbo cars is that they don't make much power or Torque off the line hence NOT being able to JUST drop it, cause the car WILL bog.

I un them at 8 psi before the burn out and they will inflate to about 10-11 psi after the burn out.
Thanks Phil, and we have seen just the beggining of what privately owned Ecos can do. You are welcome and if you have any questions just ask like always.
I'll show you guys some more and hope others do to

See John H, I was scared about breaking stuff before, but I wasn't running these times.
If you are scared you most likely will not succeed to go fast always worrying about this and that breaking. Now, by no means am I saying that I am in a good financial standing that is why I can afford to break stuff because I really cannot.
When I am done with the burn out and I am staged up about to run, just run a thought through your mind.
""Launch it like it is unbreakable"" usually works for me. lol For real.

My second pass today when I launched it, it fall on the face and broke up in 1st.
I slowly shifted to second and hit it a little and it was still breaking up, in 3rd as well.
I got off, popped the hood, me and my boy looked at it and it was fine but it sounded the same as my friends car did when it cracked ring land on the piston.

I went to stage again and right after that was my best pass of the day.
I figured out that I hit the rev limiter a few times in the water box, which filled the motor up with the gas since the ignition cut, making me break up like that.
I am also gonna go over some wires tomorrow as well.
My heart dropped to my heels,, but what can you do.

I will take some in-car videos of launches and runs, hopefully faster then what I ran today as soon I get my boy to weld me up a simple roll bar or maybe a 4 point for now.
Like I said I do have a video of the car running a 12.66 pass with hitting breaks and I will post it as soon as I get it on the net.

once again man, that is just crazy.... it's hard to believe that a motor like this in a Jbody has this much potential on a stock bottom end...

welcome to being the FASTEST Jbody in a street trim car (mild weight reduction) with a stock bottom end...

heres your hood of roses

**disclaimer this is not JUST because it's an ecotec.. when that 2,4 guy ran that 12.9 i congratulated him, and congratulated hypsy on AIM on his 12.80 run

Nothing in the back to the front seats. Nothing, but the spare tire and jack, which I take out for the track.
No wing, no rear bumper support, nothing under the dash, no AC, no heat, no blower fan, that is it pretty much.

See boostedeco, shifting from 1-2 is not a problem, you just have to do it so damn fast, but coming out of the hole in 1st kinda gets tricky.

When are you gonna redeem yourself man, I don't even know if you are on the list anymore.
