Does anyone know if the rsm underdriver pulley helps or hinders the boost output?

HINDERS BOOST. Your turning the charger slowing, so your car will see less boost.
You want an over driven pulley for more boost, or a smaller charger pulley.

any of these smaller pulleys on a GM s/c'er will not physically work... they are too small in diameter and the belt wont even be tight at all.. i could not even make my sisters belt tight even with a 3.0" s/c'er pulley on it, there was still about 1" of slack

there is a belt that you can get @ napa and other stores that is a bit smaller

josh: try Goodyear Gatorback #4050722 (72.25") (metric No. 5PK1835 --> 1835mm). is around .6" shorter then stock and that could help you a bit
