Would this by chance allow the passenger side airbag to continue to function? I don't really care if I die in a wreck, but I don't want to risk my passengers' lives if I don't have to.

I believe that someone posted something about the driver's airbag being disabled for some time and the passenger one going off (might have been the other way around) while the car was parked in a shop... I'll have to look later for it.

So I'm guessing it WAS the 2.2ohm after all?

If the SDM thinks the driver's airbag is there (with the resistor installed), then yes the other airbag(s) will still go off in case of an accident.... assuming that the airbags are deployed... (sometimes you hit, and they don't go off... but that won't be changed by the resistor).

So far only 1 of 3 are confirmed dead and found. SO bare with me I will get this done hopefully next weekend.

Ok so today me and my buddy installed the resistor. Took some time and I think we fried a few. They would work fine then all of a sudden they would stop working. I will pm those who wanted some of them with some info on how much and what not.

How much for the resistor? I'm interested. I'll be putting my wheel back in when the weather here in Cleveland thaws out, and don't want to black tape the gauges.

I think my problem was bad connection or that I was moving them to much and broke them. Either way its fixed now and I will sell them for like 2 bux for 6 of them. That will cover postage and give you some to play with.

Cavie Freak, what's new with the resistors. I just installed my new wheel, and already the light is getting on my nerves. How much are they, and do you have intructions for how to wire these up? Thanks

I grabbed a pair of 2.2 ohm 5 watt ones... maybe they'll be a bit sturdier than the 1/4 watt ones...?

Does anyone have pictures of how to install these. Where do they plug into and so on?
