Cars ride by with the boomin systems
Monday, November 13, 2006 4:33 PM
So I thought it would be nice to finish up my system install. Everyone's friend Wysiwig got me a port size for my box, and I decided to build an amp rack and get the boomin going again.

Got some mdf and put a piano hinge on the back of it. This way I can hide all the wires underneath of it.

So here's the finished product:

How does it sound? I've only turned it up a little bit, with the doors open I hit a 142 on my epic-160.

I'm definitely going to play with it more this weekend; I know I can get it higher this time, but I definitely need another alternator.

What's wrong with that? I can't even start to tell you how much money Wal-Mart has gotten from me because they are open 24 hours.

10 bucks for 50 feet of 14 gauge, much love. There's going to be more, I gotta put another set of components up front.

So the Jeffrey finally cranked it up --- good god, my back is still shaking. You guys think you have dimming issues? Try cranking your system up even with the big 3, and a 2nd yellowtop battery, having your head unit dim to the point it shuts off and on

I'm an old school kind of guy. Justin - thanks for the comment bro. I tried to do a clean install - I wanna cover up the hole between the box and the rear deck with carpet and clean that up some more, plus I have another set of speakers to go in the front. One nice thing is that the 3 way components that I have in the rear don't have any cancellation, and have some damn nice mid-bass.
