What's the trick to getting the stock head rests out of an '04 Cavy. I have new rests w/monitors ready to go.

Recline the seat, get in the back seat, and pull like mad. Be careful not to smash yourself in the face when they let go.
Alternately, the proper way to do it involves using a tool to shove down around the posts and release the clips.
They'll come off if you pull though.

pull the fabric down use a flat tipped screw driver and pop the stapple shapped pin out
