Hey guys unfortuantly this past friday my engine suffered some serious detonation in cylinder # 2. Cracked off top of my piston and smashed the bits of the piston into my cylinder head. I was spraying a 55 65 and 75 shot on her for 2 years before she finally blew. Ill have pics on her of the damage.

LOL Join the club man Mine started knocking about 6 days ago no 75 wet. How did it all go down? I want to know more about when it happened.
Was cruisin around and got on the open highway goin about 60 had the bottle hooked up that night. Sprayed in 3rd till 75 then shifted to 4th to 90 then engine started shaking then completly cut off. The funny thing is that i just got the MSD DIS2 installed and this was the first time i have sprayed it with the DIS 2. Had the retard set for 4 degrees starting at 4000 rpms. Had every precaution. TR6 plugs and the retard 93 octane and all... I actually pulled the piston out today and it broke all the way down thru the first piston ring lol. Ill keep you informed.

lol I was sprayiing on the highway when I blew a hole in one of my headers primairies. It scard the living crap out of me and at first i thought it was from the juice. Turns out the header wrap ate throught the pipe in 10 months flat. Once a fixed that Aabout 2 weeks later my motor started knocking bad.
NICE.... are little peices stuck in the head?
Yea there were pieces all stuck in the head. The really weird thing is that there were pieces of the piston in the other cylinders. Please tell me how in the world it got there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, some carnage there.
If your interested i have a set of 2002 stock 2200 pistons and rods and rings with 3K miles if you need something to be able to atleast get the car fixed pretty cheap? Looks like the head can be surfaced and the block probably honed out.
Did the bore get all scored and require a .030 bore or can it be honed out?

The cylinder walls are actually still in great condition. When i saw the damage i thought for sure my block was toast. But the only thing that got damage is the head. Ebay has a completly refurbished head with a 3 angle valve job for like 300 bucks shipped so im going for that then some 10:1 weisco pistons and eagle rods for a bigger shot of N2O in the spring.

YES!!!! thats the way to do it......i get a litle sad when people blow the engine, then say "im done, thats it" its awsome when people blow their engine (well that sucks) but look at it as a learning opportunity, and build a better engine,

that puzzled me too....i found most of my piston chunx in my intake manifold
wow, congrats, even the same cylinder as me
I found my chunks in the exhaust mani, but oddly enough, most of them made it through the valve and through the turbine (or wastegate I guess) and out the exhaust
go flat tops

It sucks when that happens and a lil piece of metal goes through your turbo. well its good to see that there are others pushing the envelope. me and you are gonna keep some parts manufacturers in buisness haha good luck with the rebuild..
Yea i know man lol ive already bought all new clevitte 77 rod / main / cam bearings, fidanza flywheel spec stage 3 clutch and the import performance parts weisco piston / eagle rod combo with 10 to 1 compression so its coming along faster than i thought.
