3400 Swap in a 2000 Sunfire 2.2, 5 speed

Hi Guys, I've spent the lat month searching up all the info about this swap, and I'm about ready to tackle it, My biggest question is about motor mounts and was anyone who would be will to fab the the lower mount and does anyone know if the billet n-body mount can be made since they don't make them anymore. Also was wondering who would be the best for taking the impala computer and wiping the auto and vats codes, and any other suggestions you might have. I plan on using this car as my daily driver and want to keep the stock gauges, Also looking for any recommendations about which stage 2 clutch I should get and flywheel. Also I plan on keeping the A/C and I read that a Buick Park Avenue A/C will bolt on to the 3400 and use my existing plumbing. I am located in the Toronto Area so would help a lot if I can do as much locally but am willing to ship out if needed.

Thanks

Will

Also looking for intake and exhaust options, I was thinking of going with the Mangaflow Dual Exhaust with a high flow cat, here is a link.

1. Mr. Quick makes the upper and lower motor mounts for this swap contact him...
2. Yes, to a point, to get any of the gauges to work you will have to piggyback your existing harness to the to the 3400 one...
3. I have herd of that working but on the swaps i have not used a/c to be honest...
4. Its to your car so it depends on what you want if you look at some aftermarket websites your bound to find an intake and exhaust you will like

Not sure where you are located or how far you wanna drive. But Ryan Balfour has a running and driving 3400 5 speed 2000 Sunfire for sale for $1200. He is in Stratford Ontario.

I'll chime in a bit here:

I have a blue upper mount currently in stock. Also, I'm working on a couple of things for the lower mounts. I have sourced another fabricator, but they are more expensive than my previous one, so I'm looking at something completely different, but I won't have a prototype of that until the end of the summer. I'm working with a company for a big brake project, and if it works out well, they will be building me a new lower V6 mount prototype as well.

As for the billet N-body mount, I can absolutely do that as well, but I'm considering something similar that is still a bolt-in, rather than having to cut the factory bracketry off.

Not at this time, but if all goes well, and I do have them make me the prototype, I will definitely post up some pictures.

Sorry for the thread jacking but what will be the difference between the old mount you made and the new one?

Well the exhaust is done and I'll be picking up the car on Friday, Before I do, I'm gonna need an air filter, and we measured the opening at 3.25" but on the Grand Am forums I'm reading that you need a 3" cone to replace the air box. The engine is out of a 2003 Grand Am, can anyone confirm which size air filter I would need to grab?
