Something wrong...

Hey guys...

For some reason ever since ive put on coilovers on my car. I have been hearing a clunking noise in my front. And ive looked at it and for some reason my springs to the coilovers arent turning...this was with the arospeeds..i just figured it was because they are cheap and didnt come with bearings...

So i put on Sportlines and its still doing it!
What is going on here? anyone else have this problem?

What do you have for bearings on your Sportlines? Did you take out the stock bearings when you put the coilovers on?

like said, you need to get the stock bearings for the strut mounts. around 14$ a piece at auto parts stores.

strut mount bearing...

its pretty self explanatory when you see it. its a giant donut shape. it can only go on one side of the mount since the other side is bolted to the strut tower...

also you will prob need the plastic spring seats as well. check a dealer, the prices arent that bad

sounds simple...

Are what bolts are there to take off the front strut Assembly...just to two down low...and the one on the top inside the hood?

Get yourself some sort of manual before doing any work on your car. A Haynes or service manual will give you all the proper torque specs for things before you go and do more damage. To take off the strut assembly, you'll take off those ones you mentioned as well as two large bolts on the bottom. It is imperative that you torque everything properly when putting it back on.

with a torque wrench....

all of this info is listed in the front of the manual where it shows the tools you will need and or use...
