okay heres how you "rent" an impact wrench, goto pepboys buy the el cheapo Impact wrench for about $50. do the job keep the wrench as clean as possible when your doing the job. take in back as soon as possible and tell them that it wasn't strong enough to get the bolt off and you had to take it to a shop to be removed and you no longer have a use for the wrench, etc.
"oh the Cavi? thats my brothers car , I had to borrow it to get here"
" yeah it looks lower than the first time i was here"
lol

i am not gonna lie to ya this thread brings a tear to my eye. what would be different if anything with attaching ground controls versus just springs
Well since they are the Eibach Pro-Kit springs I think they qualify as an upgrade, could be wrong though. and remember that Ground control makes springs not just coil -overs.
if you want just a coil over install with Koni then find BigJerm and ask him to e-mail you his install. I used it for reference. If anyone in this area decides to go with coil overs I will document it for another post.

YES it HAS to be there that is what will hold the whole thing together. if your worried about ruining the mount for what ever reason, please take it to a shop and have it done. it was the best thing I did was to farm it out to some one with a real drill press. I used cutting oil and and a new bit . firs the hand drill then the drill press as soon as i thought of...
"Hey this is MY suspension "... " I better make sure that hole is dead on straight man! " don't want to die due to a F#(ked up mount now do I ? Headline-J-body member dead due to stupidity.
so i took it to a place that makes boat trailers that I bought some Aluminum off of awhile back. i threw him a $20 and he did the rest. made the install tits after that.

Sorry for bringing this back from the dead but I have a quick question.......
I was trying to do this install last summer and when I got to the backs I couldn't get the spring perch off of the stockers????? I mean I tried to hammer them but I didn't want to dammage them by hitting to hard, they almost seem to be stuck on there, I don't know maybe rust??
Anyone ran into this problem??????Any ideas at all?????
Thanks

what you have to do it rotate the strut while you tap on the perch i did it with a lager combination wrench (couldn't find my hammer at the time )if your only going at it from one side then it is most likely jamming at an angle. since yo have an older car and live where they would most likely have salt on the roads it very well could have rusted onto the shaft.
thanks Cinny.......
anyone else who has info too, I'll take all the info I can get
