Quick question, and i did search, came up with nothing. I am thinking about purchasing EcoMark's tein s-techs. They are safe on stock struts???? Thats why i am asking, i thought no drop was for stock struts. I replaced my struts (all 4) in febuary, so they are new. So take them and put them on, or would i need some aftermarket struts???

Its all about ideal situations...ideally...you should change them, but it depends on the individual. I've ridden in a cav with Stechs on stock struts, and it wasn't punishing at first. I don't know what it rode like 6 months down the road though. If you think you can afford it by just waiting another month to put them on, I recommend it, but if not, I don't think its a crazy bad idea and your car will blow up if you don't. Just realize that replacements will be better in every way
s-techs are pretty low springs. you'll definitly need to upgrade the struts.
Andy the problem with stock or oem replacement struts is they're not able to handle the higher spring rate of lowering springs. This causes the car to bounce because of lack of rebound dampening ability and eventually blowing out the strut. The Tein S-techs and H-techs have a pretty low spring rate and might not be too much for a relatively new set of struts, but I can see the S-techs damaging the struts from bottoming out because of the low spring rate and low ride height.
if the spring has a low spring rate or not, it shouldnt be suggested to lower them on stock struts. our stock struts barely handle the oem springs let alone any type of lowering spring. have people done it? yes they have but i advise against it. for one they will blow eventually and then your stuck buying the right struts anyway, having to take time out to install them and then paying for another alignment which all could of been done the first time.
well that sucks.... i don't want to dish out the money for new struts. I am just going to go with a nice 18" Rim Setup instead.

its gonna be a snowball effect. once you get the rims your wheel gap will look alot worse. while technically it stayed the same (given if you kept the same overall tire diameter) the smaller tire on a bigger wheel will make the car look lifted.
yeah d00d it will look like a 4X4 lol...
just hit the classified you should be able to find KYB AGX or Koni Yellows for a good price used.....
