yeah good luck man, it's really hard to get guys to actual be loyal club members, best thing to do is make good friends with people who have hooked up rides in your area and then just start hanging out THEN try the idea of a club. If you go hey i'm starting a club you wanna hang out? you're gonna get 2 weirdos one with a lumina spray painted yellow and the other a honda civic with double decker aluminum spoilers and NOS stickers covering all the peeling clear coat. Then the cars that are actually show cars or have real potential to be, will show up twice and that'll be it.

I tried. It's hard, i just joined up with another club and have been recruiting for them, its alot easier (besides the truckloads of drama between other car clubs)

Yes, well I didn't even try to make a club in our area, i just tried for a couple of meets and those were Collassol failures as well. Personally, I blame the people. "OH its humid out, my turbo might not like it "LOL. Or "Why would i drive twenty minutes away from my house? I mean thats like 2 gallons of gas..." And the sad part is, every time i goto Robinson Mall, i see another Jbody with stuff done to it I havent seen before, people just arent on the JBO either. Scheduling is tough, weather, people wont come if their car is inopperable. @!#$ i brought my wreck up to the first meet and it was only firing on 2 cylinders basically. So the long and the short of it is, most people just dont care enough and will use any excuse they can to get out of it. Some people like Jeff, i know, and I'd like to see the Lumina Jeff, are into it for good, and would be willing and, well, are willing. LOL that sentence is terrible with all the commas LOL. Theres also people who are extremely dedicated, but want nothing to do with it. @!#$ happens i guess.

Hey riley, I wouldnt say it was a failure, remember me (chas) I drove from Newark ohio to meet yinz at Robinson. I thought it was okay. Try again, you know I would be there. hey if u guy's were to make a club that was around robinson i be down with that im pretty close and the drive there would be fun.

even if you do start a club and get people to sign up. you will sitll have people that give the same lame ass excuses for not showing at meets or not supporting the club/other member events. excuses like "my car aint a show car", or "My car aint a race car", or "i dont have any money", or "My car is stock. whats the point of going?", or my all time fav "That too far away." and then you have people who complain about how there is nothing to do.

my advice to anyone thinking of starting a car club is dont bother. be an independant. that way you can go to whatever shows you want, whatever races you want. you dont have to worry about fulfilling club requirments that other members dont. a lot less stressful that way

by "club" i was just meanin a group of people who like to hang out and stuff like that nothing formal or anything. just hang oiut go to shows or whatever no rules, no bs.

im basicly right in pittsburgh. about 10 - 20 mins away from robinson depending on traffic.

I would think about it but im thinking about selling the cavy and getting a trunk here soon.
