You, my friend, is what is wrong with the sport compact scene in general, and with the J-Body Organization in particular. The beltway (MD 695) was packed today. Like REALLY packed. I was driving the blue Escort 4-door on the outer loop in the fast lane around Perring Parkway and you were tailgating me at 70+mph. Tailgating me to the point where I couldn't see your @!#$ headlights in my rear view.

I had nowhere to go. There was so much traffic that there was a steady line of cars in the middle lane. I wanted to get over, but couldn't. Hell, I needed to get off at York Road so I needed to start working my way over. That meant nothing to you. The fact that I had my wife and son in the car meant nothing to your punk ass. In a busy day of traffic like this, you and your @!#$ty little econobox were so cool and so important that you had to get ahead of everyone else. You tailgated me for nearly 2 miles this close. Brake-checking you only made you follow closer, you @!#$ dickhead.

So, the moment an opening appeared in the middle lane, I GLADLY put on my turn signal to get out of your way. TOO LATE!! You had already jumped over and damn near hit meq to get in that lane and pass me. You flew by like I was sitting still (CAVALIER POWAH!!) and nearly clipped my front end getting back in to the fast lane in front of me. Then suddenly, 0h n0eZ!!, you realize that the guy in front of me in the white Cadillac is going no faster than I was. Shocker, in today's traffic...but not a deterrent to you and your Fast & Furious delusions! You swerved right to the middle lane again, this time so fast and so hard that you swerved all the way in to the next lane! Mad phat driving there, Mario Andretti. Lucky for you the guy that was IN the right lane there was paying enough attention to get out of your way and jump on the shoulder to avoid your @!#$ antics. Next thing you know, you're jumping back in to the fast lane and almost clipped the car you just passed. You got so close that the guy had to jam on his brakes and swerve on to the inside shoulder and I STILL couldn't figure out how he missed getting hit.

After that, you changed lanes TEN @!#$ TIMES IN THE NEXT MILE, including all three lanes of the highway. No less than 5 cars had to jam their brakes and/or swerve to avoid getting hit by your dumb ass.

Funny part is, in the end, just before I got off the highway I noticed you were back in the fast lane and stuck behind the same white Cadillac you almost hit trying to pass.

So to summarize, to Mr. Fast and the Furious PA Cavalier Driver....

@!#$ YOU AND EVERYONE LIKE YOU!!

You are the reason that people like me can't even do so much as put tint on our windows without getting dirty looks from cops. You are the reason that state laws on modifications are getting increasingly strict to the point where you can barely street drive anything but a stock vehicle.

You are a chronic moron, and you are costing the rest of us our hobby. It's only a matter of time before your awesome driving habits land you in a jackpot where you lose your license, and the rest of us can't wait for that day.

The point of the post was to vent about the incident obviously. JimmyZ isn't so delusional to think that someone immature enough to act in such a manner would actually own up to that mistake. You don't get it. You're right, there are people of all walks of life that drive like they are the only one on the road that needs to get somewhere, but that's not the point of the rant. JimmyZ wrote the post about ignorant self-important drivers who ignore the safety of those around them for their own benefit, whether that's making that meeting they should have left earlier for or just feeling like Vin Diesel. Guess what, kids with cheap cars are notorious for that type of behaviour, and he's fairly well justified in makeing those comments. What behavior of JimmyZ's is it exactly that you think isn't a good example? He's pissed, understandably too, on LA highways less would have gotten that Cavalier driver shot. What did you think a model citizen would have done? Went about his merry way? Lastly, who cares what he drives? Does that change the severity or idiocy of the driver of the Cavalier? Does it fundamentally impact the message, meaning or interpritation of the rant?

I had a similar incident last night, kind of on the other side, coming back from Lancaster to York on 30, its a 2 lane on either side highway, For about 5 miles (at 70mph) I was behind this SUV that thought they were running pace laps because they stayed directly at the same speed as the car next to them, the passing lane , is for passing, and if your not passing you should get the @!#$ out of the way.

So when someone does this, I give them about 5 feet, and my headlights are already obnoxiously bright to start with, so after riding them for about another 3 miles we eventually cleared the car in the slow lane, after another mile they CONTINUED to ride in the left lane, at this point I was boiling, dropped it into 4th and whizzed by. Keep in mind there were NO cars ahead so there was no reason to continue riding in that lane. Then as soon as I did this they speed up and put on thier high beams behind me, wonder they could find the gas pedal. Now at this time I was doing 85 and they were keeping right with me, explain why they went fast then but wouldnt pass the car beside them for 5 miles.

Nothing annoys me more than ppl that hold up traffic, either pass or get out of the way, thats what the lane is for, not for waving at the car next to you for 5 miles and if you do, your going to get a mirrorfull of me

I ll tailgate all of you AT THE SAME TIME! my oldsmobile owns j00..... Its Uber fast! 3800 powar! bah... at school we have a few ricers in the class.... they think econoboxes are the end all to cars.... and are the the process of trying to fit a v-8 turbo diesel truck turbo to said econobox...... keep in mind these are automotive technology classes.... so this should get good... i will keep you guys posted.... but i ll say this, im SURE they are going to run hte same injectors and computer..... as u was told " the boost controller will take care of all of that..... " im no turbo expert or anything... but im not really sure thats the case

so the next time i get super pissed about driving in traffic i'm supposed to throw a piss fit about it? Why would you look for empathy on the .org, if he wants empathy he should call his mother. and besides, i think him being a mod its a BS post being that the whole thing was riddled with foul language, isnt that one of the rules? #3?

Maybe they didn't speed up since they were already going 15 over the limit on a road littered with cops

brake check. not like slam on them but slowly apply pressure till your going the speed limit on the beltway that'll really tick them off and and hopefully make them do something stupid and wreck.

Sounds like a normal day in Toronto

If you want to get creative with your brake checks....I can get my friend to wire up a switch to your brake lights, so they'll switch on whenever you want, but your brakes wont be applied.

Oh well, I have my popcorn ready to go if this guy actually is on this website and decides to post a response.
