Alright, so this weekend I finially got my fender from Julias stepbrother. It looks are pretty and matches really well. Also installed the sway bars and now know that the steering shaft is mouted onto the subframe (not to self, don't completely drop subframe again). Not only did we flip the bar around about 4 times (even with the helpful picture from Darkstars...my writing was on the side for some reason) but then we had a :censored: of a time getting the bracket that goes over the bar to hold in place back on. Actually loosened a bolt on the front of the subframe to get it in and then tightened in back down. After we buttoned it all up and was ready to go try it out we noticed that the steering was out, like stated above we found out that the steering shaft is connected to the subframe. So after a $45 tow and another $103 to remove the steering knuckle, fix the splines, and then reinstall it into the streeing colum itself. Now everything is good.
Another thing I found out while under the car is that the rear springs were upsdie down, not sure how that happened with the pictures provided from Darkstars, but that's fixed now and it rides much better. The one other problem I noticed, which is just because the car is so damn low is a little bit of scraping. Guess it wasn't the air dam like I thought it was.
So we were all up and running and running good...until Tuesday mornring. After Julia dropped me off in Kiel for work (had a siezure the day before the baby shower and can't drive until June 15th at the earliest) she got about half a mile out and found yet another four legged friend. The deer went right between the headlights and about halfway up the hood. Split the hood open, busted the passenger side headlight mount (but not the headlight itself), the top part of the bumper, and bent the latch/support down under the bumper and pushed the bracing into the radiator which is now bent.
So right now its sitting in the back of Julia's house awaiting money from the insurance company (AIG) to get it fixed. Was kida hoping they would just total it so I could pick up a manual trans Eco, but no such luck lol. The adjuster looked at it today so I should have the money in about a week or two, hopefully sooner because driving my dads 4.7l Dakota to work sucks as far as gas goes.
i hope everything works out for you. but i'm thinkin' with the money u get. u don't get factory bumpers! < if u know what i mean!

I know what you mean, but the check "has" to be made out to the body shop I guess. I wasn't given another option.
so talk to the body shop, have them cash it and give you the money. they aren't out anything, and if you get a body kit tell them you'll have them paint it. win win.
^ word! best time to do is......................... NOW!

Okay...well, how hard is it to repace the radiator, ac condensor, and the latch assembly? Honestlly I don't car about the bumper since all that has to be done there is replacement, but I don't know if I could live with a stock hood. From what you guys see do you think it will be possible/worth it to repair the hood or should I just go get a different one?
If the hood is repairable...what do I use to repair it or how do I go about it? Just another note: If I do repair it I will probablly paint it all red to match the car. Only reason is because there is a piece taken out of the passenger side middle vent. (Only about half the size of a dime.)
Sorry to dissapoint ya guys, but this is my daily driver and as you see I already have rubbing issues. Any input is more than appreciated.
