Hey all. I've been having a @!#$ass of a time trying to order and find the proper silicone tubing and couplings. I'm located in Canada, and everywhere i go (Napa, crappy tire, rona, homehardware etc) they don't sell or know where to find these peices.
I have a AEM CAI that I want attached to my gm sc'd ecotec motor (02 sunfire gt). I've seen pictures of people useing silicone 90* elbows with hose couplings to make the connection work. Do I need 2.5"? 2.75"? or 3"? And any websites or places that do sell the proper peices? Thanks.
Well I found www.siliconeintakes.com and it seems this will be my best bet.
What sizes do I need though? I've head 3" but I measured my AEM CAI and it was 2.75. Am I wrong here? And are the Hump Hose couplers the same size as the bend?
Overall I need a 90* bend (1), hose coupler (1), T-Bolt clamps (2) ?
Of whatever size is the correct one...
Will this get me all the material I need?
Thanks!
Anyone? I'm dieing on the restrictive stock tubing
Wanna hear that whine!
Yeah dude. But i found a site aswell. I just need to know the correct measurments. You know how it is, ordering the wrong sizes is costly and time wasting.
The TB is 2.75". So either run that size for get a reducer to jump up to 3".

Overall I need a

Hose coupler (1) 2.75"
T-Bolt clamps (2)
Or would I have to order say the hose coupler in a 3" to fit over the TB/AEM CAI?
You said your intake piping is 2.75" diameter. The throttle body is 2.75" in diameter. Put 2+2 together man.
Get a 90 degree 2.75" to 2.75" elbow, and a 2.75" to 2.75" straight coupler. T-bolts are unnecessary unless you just want them for show. An intake isn't going to be seeing any boost pressure so you don't have to worry about blowing off couplers like you do with a remote mounted supercharger or a turbocharger.
