I never had any issues with the swap I did above. Started up on the first turn of the key. Either way will work.

do u want the gm coils or a neon coil?

and you know what kind msd ignition box those it use.

both are relle easy, only difference are the number of wires u have to sodder and the output voltage. neon coils= 36,000 volts, gm coils= 45,000 volts per coil so a total of 90k. ive done both swaps an i prefer th gm coils. but both work great and if u want to save time and money, neon all the way.

i searched for the part number for the coils but i only came up with a 2 pin connector.. does anyone know if there is a different part number for the coils?

ok... sry i found it. it should be MSD part #8224... not 8824. hope this helps others

could you use the wires from a 2.2l or just get the universal cut to length ones?

yeah i did the coil swap on mine...used the parts listed in the MSD diagram. GM coils, taylor wires.. solved my misfire problems in boost, and the car starts up real quick too

Where are you all getting your wires from?
Would the stock length from a 2.2 work?

We make our own. Mine are from a GTP though because I didn't feel like making them. Not sure about the 2.2 wires
