OK.... If the DIS2 can be made to work with cars running the MSD 2.2 coil conversion (2.4's) you should be able to use it with the stock coils too since there both basically wired the same. There are people here that have done it but I don't know how they went about it. Hopefully someone helps you out becaue I wan't to run a DIS-2 controller also once I do my MSD coil conversion (it would be done already if it wheren't for my dang tranny )

2.4 coils are easier and cheaper than 2.2 coils.

there is a connector under the "cap" with 3 wires--- 2 white / 1 brown. This is the stock coil connection wiring.
A- Cut the brown. Connect the connector side to the MSD red ignition wire. Connect the two MSD brown with orange striped wires to the coil side.

B- Cut one white wire (either one but only one). Connect the connector side of this white wire to the MSD white trigger wire. Connect the coils side to the MSD Brown with White wire.

C- Cut the other white wire. Connect the connector side of this white wire to the MSD green trigger wire. Connect the coils side to the MSD Brown with Green wire.

D- connect the MSD battery connections.

Note--- this is all from my (possibly failing) memory and has a small chance of being wrong about the factory wire colors.

I'll take a pic of mine tomorrow (if I remember... maybe PM me to remind me). It's an MSD on the 2.4. I need to pop the IDI cover off anyhow.

Don't even bother installing it. I have a dis-2 and it lasted 6 months and it broke. It's $200-$400 to have MSD fix it when it breaks. The stock ignition is fine.

I also need to get the factory coil on plug setup to work with the msd dis-2, the reason for this is becuase I have a wet Nitrous kit and I need timing retard so i can spray a bigger shot reliably.

can anyone help us with this!?
