Leave the exhaust at 2.25 for now, and when you are ready get the whole exhaust done for the turbo. The High flow cat, 2.5" piping, ect.
What is the inlet size of the mufflers?
Haha it gonna be loud??? I have friends that have this and they say they are actually pretty deep so ill be happy... but i guess we'll have to see what happens and second i might just put one on if its to loud.... can always use the other one later. But do you think this will set off my cel and what do i do if it does?

mufflers won't set off your CEL. those mufflers look like they're gonna be loud and sound like ass. if you are planning on going turbo, i would just stuff those mufflers into your closet and do everything when you install the turbo. fartcans on n/a jbodies sound like poop, especially dual fart cans. (i know this from personal experience)
I think the only reason mine sounds good is because 90% of my exhaust dumps before it ever makes it to the mufflers (stupid manhole covers).. i have the dual magnaflow cat back (I hate it now)
I'm redoing my exhaust as well.. sticking n/a for now, rocking a Tsudo 4-2-1 rksport knock off header, but I'm redoing my entire system in 3".
The header collects at 2.5", but quickly tapers to 2". So I'm sawing off the reducer, and welding a 2.5" - 3" reducer so it will connect to my 3" exhaust system.
Larger exhaust sizes are supposedly not optimal for n/a applications, however, if you're like me, I hate doing things multiple times, which is why I'm welding up and hanging a 3" system even tho I'm more likely than not staying n/a the rest of the year.
4-2-1 header, 2.5" collector flared to 3", 3" resonator, eliminated cat converter, single 3" in, 2.5" dual out camaro style magnaflow muffler.
when I do go turbo, i'm pulling off the header, and just welding up a downpipe to mate to my already existing 3" system.
just some food for thought..
Not a fan of canister mufflers, they dont really look good on the car either IMO, and from what ive gathered dont sound that great either. Best get a huge resonator (even i had to with Magnaflow Oval mufflers) to tone the sound down.
Ok thnx guys... i guess ill just have them put both on then see how it sounds and mayb have him put a resinatior on later.... and ask for how they look... i have a body kit that is built for dual and its gonna look sweet (at least i think so) neways ill keep ya guys updated
i had some of those on my 03 sunfire i got them off of ebay and they were the same size as yours and im not a big fan of loud exhaust but i loved the way mine sounded. nice and deep. well just my 2 cents.
