Well, now I have a question... The code was gone, so I thought it was fixed (i bought a new IAT sensor). and yes P0113 is an IAT code- something about high circuit input or something-- cant remember what the readout said exactly. and not sure what that means. So the code came back on this morning-- just now I re-positioned the IAT so it was further in the tube(no medal sticking out)- reset the battery for about 2 hours, was fine, and just now I have an engine light on... I AM @!#$ LOST at this point. what else could it be-- the wires leading into the sensor?
Any help?
Thanks,
Chris
If I am getting an IAT code, its got to be SOMETHING with that, right?
How do I replace the wires?
dude...listen..Code PO133 is your 02 Sensor code in The header or bank number 1. My goes off every one in a while and then shuts it self off after bout 3 days cause our computers learn that we are running fine..if you have aftermarket header this will most likely happen. when you look up the code it will read : (Code PO133, Bank 1 Sensor 1 is reading to slowly) ive replaced my whole thing you cant do anything bout it unless u want to keep on buying sensors..just go to GM get them to delete the code...they deleted mine but came back on and then went away..
I live in a very cold place this time of year (Northern Vermont), and usually see this code a lot in the winter. Im also a mechanic, so I tried fixing it. A new sensor didnt help, and it wasnt the wiring to the sensor either. When I worked a GM dealer I was lucky enough (actually, sneaky enough) to take home a scan tool and watch all of my sensors while I drove home, around, etc. P0113, IAT Sensor High Input, means the sensor is reading too low, or the PCM is getting a signal that is too low. After driving around a lot, I noticed that on a cold night (like 10-15 below), the sensor would read the same, about 10-15 below at cruising/coasting, but it went all the way down to 40 below when I opened up the throttle. I think the sensor and wiring is fine, GM just programmed their computers to -40 F and thats it. My car does it every winter, and only when its real cold. BUT, I just looked at your profile, and it looks like you live in the desert. Oh well, maybe it is the wiring. I wouldnt try replacing it unless I knew it wad bad though. Good luck!
