Resonator!

I don't have a camera, but I'll list my setup and tell you what it sounds like.First off I have the 2200 OHV motor:
Pacesetter 4-1 Armor-Coated header
2.25" polished stainless steel piping connecting header to cat
2.25" in/out Magnaflow polished stainless steel catalytic converter
2.25" RK Sport stainless steel single-exit cat-back piping all polished up
2.25" inlet 31" Magnaflow Magnapack polished stainless steel resonator
2.25" inlet 14"Magnaflow Magnapack polished stainless steel resonator
2.5" inlet 5x11x24" Magnaflow polished stainless steel oval muffler
2.5" inlet 4" round rolled edge angle cut Magnaflow tip
As you might be able to tell, my entire exhaust is either stainless or ceramic-coated, and all the piping is mandrel bent. The look of the exhaust is very low key, except for the tip. Its nice and shiny though, if you ever look under my car. Its a very The exhaust is damn near silent. When I punch the gas or rev it, it sounds somewhat like the stock exhaust on a 350Z. Quiet, yet with a distinctive tone to it.

I've got the 2.2 ohv and it has a nice gurgle to it when I'm cruising around, sounds deep and throaty.
I don't have a way to record my exhaust, but here's my exhaust: Custom header, thermal wrapped and ceramic coated, magnaflow 2.25" cat, 2.5" mendrel bent midpipe, aluminized steel, Cherrybomb oval-case muffler (looks like stock) from Autozone, DTM tips. The entire exhaust behind the header was coated with high-temp coating to help resist corrosion, as aluminized steel tends to rust after a few years. The DTM tips were welded to the muffler before that was coated. In addition to preventing rust, it also sort of hides the exhaust a little as the tips don't stand out like chrome would. And I don't use a resonator. Basically, my exhaust is a little louder than stock, but the tone is much deeper. That's at idle. When I lay into it, the tone is, well, loud. But it doesn't sound like the typical tuner exhaust (read: fart can). Ever been to the JGTC? Yeah. Well, it doesn't sound anything like those cars. :-) Actually, it just sounds like it's really pissed off. But the best part about my exhaust is that the whole thing, header included, was under $250.00 USD. The only things I didn't make myself were the header flange, cat and the muffler. Learn to weld, save money.

my car sounds like my friends with an hks cat back on his rsx. i have a 27 inch resontator, magnaflow dual exit muffler and maganfow cat and two camaro style tips at the end. i dont have just sound clip but i have a vid of me racing a 5.0 mustang and you can hear my car when i pass by. oh and if u watch the vid go almost to the very end and thats were i am racing the mustang

i do but i don't know how to put it on here . mine is very raspy . but thats what u get when u run straight pip no cat or anything . i will add a resignater soon though .

Here's my stock exhaust. It sounds fine to me, so until I want to, and I have the money to get a complete new exhaust, the stock stays.

mine sounds like crap till the header warms up, then it souunds ok, but i need a bigger resonator, it gets pretty raspy at high rpm's

hey CraZ-24, how much was your muffler and who'd you get it through , i'm thinking of using the muffler and my existing 2 1/4" piping and just weld the sucker on. thanks

I got my muffler from Apex Motorsports in Tempe AZ. The Apex-i N1 muffler was $180...complete custom catback was $500 with parts and labor. I love my exhaust and wouldn't have it any other way. I got the 2 1/2 inch tubing...thats the smallest inlet size the have. But you might get that to fit the 2 1/4 tubing.

Sounds good. I like it. If you get any more vids, make sure to toss them up. I like the sound of your car.
at Idle, my exhaust is very subtle and very low, just a soft rumble but when I step on it. it has a nice deep throaty growl to it thanks to the glasspack and muffler. it sounds pretty good too and doesn't have a high pitched bang or rattle to it. just nice smooth bass.
I need to get some sort of recording device or video camera to record it. jeez.

Thanks man.Yeah,im def gonna get some more vids up.I gotta throw my injectors back in and make some vids of the supercharger.
