never heard of it and for the price id rather have a spec
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
never heard of a Exedy Clutch?
i dont want to buy a SPEC because a spec is more of a racing clutch, and i am not rdy to upgrade all of that kind of stuff...

SPEC has several stages available for our car

Exedy makes AWESOME clutches. Go for it.

I'm using an Exedy right now. Break it in right. I drive the hell out of it, and no sign of slipping.

i forgot to ask, will this clutch be used with a lightweight flywheel or with your stock flywheel? if you use your stock flywheel, DO NOT FORGET to take your flywheel to have it resurfaced before you put it back on.

Yes officer I knew the speed limit was 50
Should be pre-surfaced. But get all the oil and grease off of it before it goes together.

You're calling me an idiot because you thought we would know you are doing a trans swap through osmosis. Come on.
If you are going turbo, I would get a stronger clutch and not be cheap about it.
And you could get away with a lighter flywheel. But if no turbo I personally wouldn't get a lightened flywheel on a low hp car the weighs a little bit less than a ton and half. You are still keep the 2.2 ohv, right?

Guys, Calm down.
95CavBlue: it might have been an idea to explain you were swapping transmissions.
The rest of you: it might have been an idea to not take the @!#$ road.

Go for the clutch... either that, or a SPEC stage 1. Both are good stock applications.
As for the rest of y'all... it's the internet. Get over it.
PS. If you're going far enough to read the guy's profile... maybe you should have gone and checked out his "Forum Posts" too.. then you'd have seen earlier that he's been asking about 5 speed swaps, and it all would have made sense sooner. Could have saved the rest of us a headache. E-thugs, sheesh.
