I have been informed by a customer of ours that most people on this and other jbody sites have the wrong idea about our reflashes so...
We do NOT unsolder the chips... There is absolutely NO soldering or unsoldering...
We do NOT offer dyno tuning... ??? dont know where that one came from???
Anything that is controlled by the pcm we can change, from rev and speed limiters to adding a 2 bar map sensor to read turbo boost...
We have reflashed pcm's for turbo applications...
The pcm reflash is for ANY obd II pcm...
The reflash can delete any code...
You can have any electronic sensor deleted (ie; 2nd O2 sensor)...
We do NOT and will NOT be selling the software to reflash the pcm... We do not want to be responsible for some one messing around with their pcm then cant get their car to start ever again...
If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact us...
thank you...
So you could raise speed limiter and can you also change the sensitivity of the knock senser without deleting it?? Also is there a way of getting a timing retard? Yea i know its a lot to ask. Just trying to get an idea of the limitations. Greg
Yes, you can raise the speed limiter to 255 kmh. Yes the sensitivity can be changed for the knock sensor with out deleting it. the timing in the pcm can be retarded and advanced in accordance to what you would like (ie; if your actual timing is retarded the pcm can be reflashed with the same degree)...
sorry man i could have sworn i read that you guys dyno tuned but it must have been something else i read.
ECOSPEEDZ
i didnt know anyone had cracked the j body PCM yet... where do you guys operate from?
listening...
No it is not "commercial software"...
"The OBD-II software is the bit where the trouble starts. Lots of people want it, a few people know how to initiate an ECU conversation.... and about 3 people know how to code it!" - Andy Whittaker.
The "software" is not an easy thing to read or translate, unless you have an extremely great deal of knowledge when it comes to engine mathematics, computer programming and the coding language used by GM...
We operate in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

No worries...
If I just want to have my rev limiter, not my govenor, just the rev limiter raised it's still the $500 or so?
Yes, 1 thing to everything and it is still the $750CDN. Anytime you do an upgrade to your engine and need the pcm reprogrammed (after you have already purchased the reflash) it is FREE... all you have to do is pay for shipping.
is that free reflashes for life, or a limited number?? and then you have to lay out another 750 again?

Fully built turbo 2200 in progress, should be installed very soon. Will post details as they happen.

i got to get around to calling you guys.
i just want a EGR code deleted and some sorta boost program on it.
How much extra would the 2 bar map sensor be?

Since not all manufacturs use the same standard for ECU control, ie GM = sae, imports =iso, etc, and each product line have different pin outs and code loaded into the ECU is this flash truly available for ANY obd II pcms like you claim or is it just for the GM j-body 99+ 4 cycls?
How can you delete a sensor? do you supply a static value in place of the dynamic input from the sensor? I assume that this does not meet CARB or any other emissions req. here in the states at least, making it an off road only mod.
Thier from canada...... no CARB requirements to meet......
As for as 'emisssions' if you remove the 'code' from the ecm, the emissions place wont pick it up.....
making you pass emissions...... (at least around here, thats how its done)
I'd be very interested in this....... but I think I'm more then capable to play with the ECU, so I'll just spend my $500 on the tuning software........ (besides, I can just stop at the dealership, and reflash mine back to stock if I mess it up, and I have a spare
)
It is awsome that you supply update reflashes, thats a major plus.

One thing they are doing in IL is looking for hidden codes. If you go in and remove the EGR... they are able to detect that it has been removed and fail the car immediately. It is really starting to suck.
ya, like spdrcrz said, wisconsin just hooks up a code scanner basically and looks for codes. But where i live they dont have emission testing, so that is a plus. If they did me and my bro would be screwed sorta.
I just dont want to spend 500$ on a computer reflash( in the process of looking for another 96 computer), get it back and the car doesnt start. Do u have any people that are on this board with a boosted car and your reflash stuff that can vouch for it?

Actually, thats incorrect. All vehcile manufacturers comply with SAE protocols laid out in the HS-3000 document. The protocol for communication is a bit different and I think is what you were getting at:
GM = VPW / CAN / KWP2000
Daimler-Chrystler = CAN
Ford = PWM
Imports = CAN
The SAE documents only outline how the ECU must communicate with the outside world, the actual operation and design of the operating system and vehicle code is left completely to the vehicle manufacturers. The software that gets written must comply with OBD-II standards set forth by the EPA, which is nothing more than an emissions standard. Soon, OBD-III will be on the market, but again, is nothing more than an emissions standard, the communications protocol standard isn't changing, just expanding to KWP. GM is currently moving forward out of VPW style communications into CAN and KWP for the 2006 and should be fully implemented by the 2007 model years.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
Sorry, typo, should have read:
Since not all manufacturs use the same standard for ECU communication, ie GM = sae, imports =iso, etc,
GM = VPW J1850 (sae) 10.4Kb
ford = PWM j1850(sae) 41.6Kb
chrysler/imports = CAN 9141 (ISO)
* there are exceptions
All of these communications protocols use different standards for communicating with a host. They also use different pins in the OBD-II connector, so the way the ECU communicates with the outside world IS different from that view point.
im like to reflash mine as well. definitly listening for a site or more info.

well how would u exactly what to set stuff to. supposed i wanted to retard my timming and i wasnt sure how much...i'm not gonna wanan keep sending my PCM to you guys till we get it right.
MY 2003 SUNFIRE
Im sorry i should have been more specific, we can reflash any OBD II from GM...
You dont need a static value to delete a sensor, you just delete it, if the computer doesnt know it was ever there it can not read it because to the computer it does not exist...
If you delete a code, the pcm doesnt know that code exists so, there is no code therefor there can be no hidden code...
We have a boosted pcm going out to a customer at the end of this week, so after it is installed im sure you will see a post up here about all his likes and dislikes about it...

If you dont know how much your timing is retarded or advanced you need to figure that out before you send us your ecu, other wise you will have to keep sending us your ecu...
Its not really complicated on the customers part, all you have to do is tell us what performance mods you have done to your engine, what you want to add or delete, and what you want changed and we will set up a program designed for you to squeese as much hp out of it as we possibly can...
