Even though it is winter, and I understand gas mileage tends to suffer. I still am getting only 25MPG in my 2003 Sunfire with conservative driving, and in the spring/summer I avg. about 28MPG still rather low. Any ideas? Perhaps a new fuel filter?
umm..theres absolutely nothing wrong with yur car..keep your regular maintenance up and youll be fine..average mpg for your car is 25 mpg..22 city 30 highway..your car is workin good

Hmm, I read somewhere it was 29/34 MPG.
maybe with take out any extra weight (subs and boxes are heavy. so are dead hookers
) in your registry it says spoiler. is it a small lip spoiler or a paul walker wing? if the latter, shave it. it creates nothing but drag. drag=less mpg. what kind of wheels? chunky chrome wheels tend to be VERY heavy, even at 17". unsprung weight will cause more decrease in mpg than most anything else. when was the last time you change your fuel filter? or air filter (or if you have a cleanable filter, when was the last time it was cleaned? if you have a remote start, dont use it. an idling car makes 0 miles per gallon.

What's it a picture of? The 97 "Z22" listed in your profile?
Lemme calculate mine...
250 KM / tank, and our tanks are 15 gallon tanks I believe (1 Gal= 3.7 L). So...
155 miles / 15 gallons
10. 3333 MPG
Sometimes I'm lucky and Ill get 300 KM on a tank...if I'm really lucky, so 12.4 MPG
I drive casual, no racing, normally I shift at 3000 RPM. Fuel filter is less than 8 months old. Air filter has been cleaned 6 months ago. Im running royal purple oil, less than 5000KM on the oil so far. In the summer I do have 18" rims, but that couldnt affect it that bad. However, in the winter (which is when I get 250-300km/tank Im running the stock 14" rims) My car isn't throwing any codes. I have a brand new PCV valve, spark plugs and wires. Oh I do have a small 10" sub and 2 amplifiers, but that weight no more than 1/2 a person and I normally drive alone anyways. Anyone have any ideas for me?
Yeah it's got a big ol' Paul Walker on it .. coming off as soon as the weather clears up. Not sure about the fuel filter, but the previous owner had it serviced regularly. I do have a cleanable air filter, that will also be cleaned when the weather cleans up. I just got 30.3MPG on a 1/4 of a tank so ... I guess I'm complaining about nothing haha. Thanks guys.
Could a faulty fuel pump cause poor milage? My fuel pump died a year back and I replaced it with a jobber part - I dont see how it would, but its really the only thing I can think of.
I get 32mpg in the summer. Now, I average 24. It also been cold, and I can get to college (5mi away) before the car warms up completely in the morning. Gas milage is LOW with these cold days for me.
