Manual Transmission Fluid

Hey guys

My 5th gear is grinding pretty hard, so i bought some GM synchromesh. The guy at the parts counter told me I only needed 1.8L of it. i own a 2002 2.2 ohv Cavalier. Is that all i need, or do i need to add some actual transmission fluid to it? Is the total fluid capacity only 1.8L?

Syncromesh IS tranny fluid for manuals, so you're all set.

Any one know the exact location of the drain plug for the fluid. Also, I should be able to just add the fluid right in, right? Someone told me it may have to be pressure shot in?????

If you are saying what I think you are saying, you are just making yourself look dumb.

Getrag transmissions use ATF. Look in the owners manual.
