I personaly have 2 issues going for me right now (dont worry the bash is something i plan to attend and work my ass off to make sure i can attend) BUT.... 1. if i stay at my current job with my current bills, i wont be able to afford the trip... 2. if i get the job im applying for, i will be making almost double the pay, have bills paid off in no time, but will most likely be scheduled durring the bash and be too new to have any pull with time off....
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn

When you get the job, you just let your boss know that you have previous vacation already planned and paid for. You let him know this on like the first day or on your "congratulations" interview and most likely it won't be a problem.

I always felt the same way, but honestly its not a big deal...When you told me i thought you meant you just couldnt take time off, but if you have the option and are just afriad to ask..dont be. He will understand you had a previous commitment. Tell him that the hotels are paid for and @!#$..

i done it a couple times...neither time did that even bat an eye...just say hey i had this vacation already planned and paid for....will this be a problem? if he gets all antsy about it...then make your own call from there, odds are they dont care

yeah ive done it as well. you just let them know before you start, hell i let them know in the interview that i was getting married and would need x amount of days off. they were completly fine with it. if you tell them youve allready paid the money to them that is allot diffrent then you showing up on day on and asking for that date off. if you allready have it planned most employer's are accomedating, and if they arnt' well then you know your working for a company that cares less about it's employee's

I am using my last post of the month(seriously, getting the car ready for the bash, and pinching pennys for bills is keeping me from premium), to say this: I have a job interview on Friday, I let the guy know when he called me that I am going out of town from Wednesday till Tuesday. Although I probably wont be with the new job by then, even if I do get the job. So either way... I will be at the bash. Just gotta register soon. I am returning bottles/cans, and finaly rolling months and months of spare change to fund the trip. Just bought new tires, and doing a flush/fill, oil change, tune up, wash/wax/tape job before wednesday is over, leaving thursday... anyway... just letting everyone know where i stand, and that i plan to attend the bash. hope to see everyone there. Belive me, anyone worried about finances: if i can do it, you sure as hell can!
