I set up a want ad in the classifieds for an 03 RK Sport c/f trunk bezel and Tom contacted me stating that he is willing to sell me his for a certain price. I cannot find his user name or email addresses on this site so I'm apprehensive about the purchase. If anyone has ever had any dealings with Mr. Barnes, please post up. If you have any constructive opinions in general, please post as well (but please note - I am very aware of scams being done through the classifieds section and I will not buy unless I get positive feedback).

Just wanted to inform anyone that may have read this that Mr. Barnes has stopped answering emails and is no longer in touch with me. Until he proves himself to be an honest and straightforward person, I highly recommend against dealing with this man.

I've been looking into his background for the past week and couldn't find anything, which is why I posted. I apologize if it is an inconvenience to anyone.

check it out, I think hes been online. the 1st profile I listed has now been cleared. he took off all the info except his car. it used to have the exact same info as the 2nd profile I posted...... this is pretty weird, what registry do u have? when I dealt with him he also lacked communication, but he did come through though.
When I communicated with him he used 2 (possibly 3) different emails, none of which are the ones listed in those profiles. Both were through yahoo. That's the first thing that I found strange.
The second thing that I found strange was that I told him before I sent him any money I would check his background on here and possibly start a thread asking about prior customers. He never wrote me back..until I sent him another email telling him that I'm ready to purchase the bezel from him. After he responded I sent him another email asking for a link to his profile or to any of his posts on the JBO before I send any money and he never wrote back.
It just seems very strange and these possible multiple profiles aren't giving any confidence. Although he came through for you with those lights, I'm still weary about purchasing from him.

yea you should definitely just wait till he communicates with u. this whole thing does sound pretty suspicious. or just buy whatever ur looking to buy from him off of someone else if he doesnt email u.
He just got back in touch with me, supposedly he's been really busy with work and what not. Seems like I was in the same situation as you, Orlandomon, and hopefully if I decide to go through with it it will have the same outcome.

i'd stop the dealings asap, especially with all the stuff you guys have been posting about multiple registeries...
