What wheels fit my J-body?

Bolt Pattern

The J-car bolt pattern is 5 x 100mm (3.937").

Any wheel from any J-body will fit any other J-body. The year does not matter, i.e. an 87 wheel will fit an 04 J-body and vice versa... Platform doesn't matter either, i.e. a Pontiac wheel will fit a Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, etc.

Here is a list of cars that use the same 5x100 bolt pattern (though you should check the offset before assuming they will fit):

Buick Century, Skylark, Skyhawk FWD 82-87, LeSabre, Riviera, Somerset 85-88
Chevrolet Beretta, Citation, Cavalier, Celebrity, Corsica
80-89
Chrysler Laser, Lebaron 85-87
Dodge Daytona, Aries, Charger, Lancer, Caravan 85-89
Oldsmobile Calais, Ciera FWD 82-87, Firenza, Omega FWD 79-86
Plymouth Sundance 87-89
Pontiac 6000, Grand Am, J2000, Sunbird 82-94, Fiero 82-88

Offset

The stock offset of 3rd gen Z24/GT rims is 42mm. This means the mounting surface of the rim is 42mm off-centre. If you upgrade to wider wheels, you want a slightly larger offset in order to make the wheel sit in the wheel well properly and avoid rubbing issues.

Most wheels with an offset between 35-48mm will fit without clearance issues. Some wider tires may require rolling the fenders to clear the wheel wells without rubbing.

Lug Nuts

The J-body lug nut size is M12 x 1.5, that is a metric nut. Do not try and use imperial nuts as they will cross-thread the wheel studs.
