| The Race The race was on to get this car done in time for the 2002 J-body Bash. Because of some problems the car only had 5 days to go from completely torn apart to show quality. Sure enough, however, Erod rolled in to the Bash right on time, to much gawking and amazement. See Erod's registry entry for more details on the car.

August 2002 | |
| One Twizted J Here we have another example of somewhat mild modifications turning an otherwise average car into a noticable showpiece. This was also perhaps one of the most popular votes for car of the month. See Gary's registry entry for more details on the car.

July 2002 | |
| Slammed His registry reads “I’m hoping for this car to be one of the most or most modded sunfires around.” To most, it already is. This car has been referred to as one of the most “well rounded” cars on this site. Every major area of modification has been addressed, and done well. See Clayton's registry entry for more details on the car.

June 2002 | |
| High Output Appropriately his registry reads "don't judge a book by its cover." This may look like an ordinary Sunbird, but the only view some might see is the rear end as it's pulling on them. Anyone looking to take their second gen to the next level should start taking notes on this car. See Colin's registry entry for more details on the car.

May 2002 | |
| Nuclear Lemon For a car that was almost written off, and then featured on Beaterz.com in all its "work in progress" glory, this has become a serious showcase of what's possible when you put your mind and efforts into building a truly beautiful car. This car has it all, from a fully custom interior and exterior to a full air suspension. Even the power hungry will be envious of what's soon to be under the hood. See Alan's registry entry for more details on the car.

April 2002 | |
| Yellow Sunfire Apparently this car has come a long way from virtually totalled, to a very sweet head turner. There may be much more in the future, but even now it is a car worth a good look. See Marco's registry entry for more details on the car.
|
March 2002 | |
| Ugly Fast To the average person this car looks like an old beat up junker. To those that know it and have seen it, though, it's a whole different story. Scrufdog's car is easily one of the fastest on this web site. A lot of time and a good deal of money went into this car. Some ask why; when you pull up next to this junker and it roasts you, you might understand. See Scrufdog's registry entry for more details on the car.

February 2002 | |
| Xtreme Ride This one has been around here for some time now. It's certainly a surprise that it took so long for the car to appear in this spot. See Ed's registry entry for more details on the car.
|
January 2002 | |
| New Beginnings In keeping with the spirits of new beginnings, particularly the redesign and updating of this site, a car returns to the spotlight that has been featured just over two years ago. The car has come a VERY long way in those two years. This organization has also come a long way in those years, and this was perhaps the most fitting way to show it. See Matt's registry entry for more details on the car.

December 2001 | |
| Turbo... Yummy... For some people, a vehicle's appearance is only as good as how well it performs. Such is true with the December car of the month. Not satisfied with the performance of his car, Mac decided to go for some all out power. Intercooled turbo was the ideal choice in this situation. This just goes to show that you don’t have to live in North America have an enthusiasm for the J-car. See nucadechivo's registry entry for more details on the car.

November 2001 | |
| Tuned Up The November COTM was certainly not an easy choice at first. GM built a number of hot, and deserving cars - and we simply could not decide which one was best. We were walking out of the Las Vegas Convention Center when Matt spoke up, "I wish we could just use all of them." The proverbial lightbulb lit up. Find out more about these and other J-bodies from the 2001 SEMA Show in the SEMA Gallery.

October 2001 | |
| Popular There has been nobody else to date that has received as many votes from the community for car of the month as this car. With as much talk as this car gets each time the COTM discussion comes up, it was bound to happen sooner or later. With a well-rounded list of modifications, it is no surprise that this car is as popular as it is. See Ian Lacey's registry entry for more details on the car.

September 2001 | |
| Quick Progress Some people take a lot of time working on their cars and making them into what they really want. It is a whole lot more impressive when it's done over only a few months. Chad has worked overtime on his car, and obviously isn't done either. A favorite at the 2001 J-Body Bash, we look forward to seeing much more of this car at the 2002 Bash. See Chad Dreese's registry entry for more details on the car.

August 2001 | |
| MTX There are many areas that people focus on when customizing. Some people focus on appearance, others on engine, and yet another significant area is audio. So is the case with this month's car of the month. The list of awards this car has won goes on and on. With so much time and attention spent, the car is certainly worthy of recognition. See mtxlbs's registry entry for more details on the car.
|
July 2001 | |
| Electrifying Some people spend lots of time and money trying to achieve what is their "perfect ride." These people make choosing a car of the month a difficult task. This one deserves a bit of recognition, as Junior stands out recently as putting a lot of effort into getting the car to where he wants it to be. See Junior's registry entry for more details on the car.
|
June 2001 | |
| Sunfire The tribe has spoken. This one is definitely not the weakest link. This sunfire is well on it's way to being a show winner. It's good to see the Sunfire gaining recognition in an industry that is pursuing the Cavalier as the J-car of choice. See Eric's registry entry for more details on the car.
|
May 2001 | |
| Bagged This car has certainly been the focus of much attention lately. It is not without good reason too. It's taken some time in the build-up, and we're sure it's not done yet (when is it ever done?). We'll be waiting to see what's next, on a car that is already top-class material. See Beth's registry entry for more details on the car.
|
April 2001 | |
| EASy No April foolin, this car comes highly recommended. A modest list of modifications shows Eddie is on the right track. We recommend visiting his web site as well, as it is very well designed. See Eddie Saab's registry entry for more details on the car.

March 2001 | |
| Randy's Ride "His car is awesome." "That's one sweet ride!" Those are some of the comments received in regards to this month’s recipient. It is evident that quite a bit of time and care went in to making this car stand out from the crowd. The people have spoken. See Randy's registry entry for more details on the car.

February 2001 | |
| WM2 On January 4th Kevin was driving home from a small J-body gathering in Toronto. Icy roads caused the car to go out of control and meet it's untimely end. This car of the month is in honor of the car with the trophy glued to the hood. To date the thread in the forum regarding this incident is the longest with 139 replies. This incident showed us quite a few things - exactly how reliable the j-car can be (Kevin was not injured in the crash), how well the j-body community can come together if even to wish someone well, and of course how dedicated some people are (Kevin had purchased a brand new Sunfire within a few days). See Kevin's registry entry for more details on the car.

January 2001 | |
| The WCKIDZ If there is one car in the entire registry that is most recommended as a car of the month, it is this one. Certainly the WCKIDZ is a popular attraction among the Toronto J-car crowd. With so many requests for this car, Marco can now add "first car-of-the-month of the new millenium" to his list of recognitions. See Marco's registry entry for more details on the car.

December 2000 | |
| Blown From the early days of cold air intakes, mufflers and other performance parts Rick Bolwell strived to make this car a leader. So it became the first 3800 Supercharged Cavalier. The car is now Ontario's Fastest Cavalier, running a 13.6 in the quarter mile, with only traction problems keeping it from the 12's. Rick is a family man with a wonderful wife and two beautiful children. He is an example of success by perseverance. See Rick's registry entry for more details on the car.

November 2000 | |
| Phantom Menace It's real. Details coming soon.
|
October 2000 | |
| Adam's Z Being the president of the J-body Club of Ontario, Adam no doubt knows what separates the average with the above average. He is well on his way to making his car a masterpiece. See Adam's registry entry for more details on the car.

September 2000 | |
| Hybrid There has been talk in the past of converting older 3rd gen Cavalier headlights to the 2k lights. This is the first (known) success at doing so. The rest of the car has been tweaked a fair amount as well. See Cookie Monster's registry entry for more details on the car.
|
August 2000 | |
| Supercharged General Motors in conjuction with Magnuson have made a fast Cavalier. Actually they have made several fast Cavaliers, but this one was present at J2K. Running a best of 14.8 at the track, it proved it's worth. The supercharger kit will be available later this year from GM Performance Parts.

July 2000 | |
| Mike's 1st Gen It's rare to see such a clean first generation Z24. One look at the pictures of this ride, and it was a shoo-in for the car of the month. Now if only everyone kept their car so clean... See Mike's registry entry for more details on the car.
|
June 2000 | |
| Xtraspin's Z24 There was quite a demand for this car to be car of the month. Take a look at the car and you should see why. See Eric's registry entry for more details on the car.

| Babygirl's Sunfire
|
April 2000 | |
| Smokin' Cavalier (APRIL FOOLS JOKE - REGISTRY ENTRY NO LONGER ACTIVE) This person REALLY wants to tear up the 1/4 mile strip. He's taken weight reduction to a new level. I think he accomplished his goal... a little too well. Take a look at his registry entry for details. See Ouch Thathurt's registry entry for more details on the car.

March 2000 | |
| Turbo Z24 Many cars have a story, and this one is by far no exception. 3.1L turbo engine from a Grand Prix, and many modifications later, this is one powerful Z24. See Curtis's registry entry for more details on the car.

February 2000 | |
| The Import Fighter Matt certainly knows the show scene in Southern California. Having been to many shows he has managed to pick up quite a few big sponsors including RK Sport, B&M and even Sport Compact Car. He continues to work on his car, as well as help out within the j-body community with the J-body bash. See Matt's registry entry for more details on the car.
|
January 2000 | |
| Dan's 2nd Gen Z24 It is often heard that there are not a lot of aftermarket parts available for first and second generation J-bodies. Even so Dan has managed to tweak his Z24 very well. We wish him well on all his autocross endeavors. See Dan's registry entry for more details on the car.
|
December 1999 | |
| Ryan's 2nd Gen It's time for the last car of the month for 1999. The last for the millenium (I just had to throw that in there... though I am getting fed up with references to Y2K). For the first time a 2nd gen J-body is the recipient... keep 'em coming, everyone's game. See Ryan's registry entry for more details on the car.

| Christian's 2.2 Christian Gallardo has spent plenty of time and money on his 1996 Cavalier 5 speed. Healso works with Regn Sign Studio to produce the official Club J-body stickers as well as many other custom graphics. See Christian's registry entry for more details on the car.

May 1999 | |
| Clone's Cavy Christin Chapman, known as Clone to all that adore her, has spent a lot of time planning the modifications to her 1997 Cavalier Convertible, and it shows. Her list of modifications is solid, and her future modifications will truly make her car stand out above the rest. We wish her luck and can't wait to see the car when it is "done" (if there ever is such a thing as being "done" modifying a vehicle). See Christin's registry entry for more details on the car.
|
April 1999 | |
| Unique Z24 Chris Laverty calls his Cavalier "Unique Z24". The modifications he's done to his car is impressive, to say the least. The car has had a great record thus far, taking several wins at various car shows, and I'm sure Chris is hoping to go even farther. See Chris's registry entry for more details on the car.
